First I want to say I love Lost so don't get me wronf here. But isn't starting to feel a little rushed? Ok, so all of a sudden Ana shoots Shannon and Seaid accepts this with one flash back where she explains herself. And now everyone is on the island and getting along.
Also Micheal shows up at the hatch and there are no questions regarding the hatch. Ok.. so there is a lot going on and Ana has hostages but I'd exspect him to at least look a little more interested, especially with all those guns.

With all the stuff going taking place on the Island, why are there not more suspiciouse people looking at the new commers.

I have a feeling that it was explained to Jack upon arrival of Eko and Sawyer...

Everybody took Eathan at face value and look what happened there. I'd think they would be a little more cautious with Eko and Libby. I think those two because Jack saw Ana in the airport so she was obvioulsy on the plane. And jack was with Rose on the plane and she is Married to Bernard (?) so they must be "safe". Libby and Eko don't have any connections (so far) and should be treated cautiously.

they had no reason to believe that Ethan wasnt one of them. of course now they KNOW
about the Others. i suppose we will see them question or at least allude to it soon.

i agree. I think there will be a lot of explaining going on soon. I mentioned in another thread that there needs to be like a big pow wow and everyone needs to have open ears and listen to everything. But of course you know it will just end in arguments and schisms in the group.

Agreed. I'm hoping for a big meeting of all of the Lostaways where they talk about everything that's happened.

Do you assume Sayid saw the flashback?

What struck me as especially odd was that noone seemed to be especially surprised, as to why their raft party suddenly came walking through the jungle. The first thing I would have asked would have been what had happened with the raft.

But well, we all know our Losties' amazing abilities of denial and their love of ignorance.

Just because we haven't seen Michael ask questions about the hatch yet, doesn't mean that he won't. We saw him arrive, get all gunned up to go rescue Sayid and then we haven't seen him since. As soon as he went off full attack mode, then I would expect him to start asking questions.

Similarly, the lostaways and tailenders met in the last 3 minutes. The fact that Libby was accompanied by Jin and Bernard was known to Rose would presumably make the lostaways welcome the tailenders as a first reaction. Questions will come after this. In fact the first reaction of the lostaways would most likely be "look, Jin's back, I wonder what happened to the raft and whether the others are OK". The second would be "Woah, there are some people with Jin, but one is the wife of a fellow lostaway, so the girl is probably OK".

If not for Sayid's own personal demons, that wouldn't have been like that.

Honestly, when he was pushing Ana to kill him, I was having a really hard time figuring out if he was trying to talk her down, or if he was seriously trying to get her to kill him.

I don't think Sayid accepted it, but what could he do about it? Remember when Shannon wanted to shoot Locke back in season 1 after Boone died, and he told her that shooting him would be something she would regret later on and it wouldn't change anything...he was probably taking his own advice after he was tied to the tree and the initial rage was gone. At least that is my own opinion and how I interpreted it.
