AL had the characteristic three cut wound on her right cheek that we have seen in other faces of various characters at interesting times. This is a significant commonality.
I saw this on another thread because it caught my eye as something important that I thought might merit its own post. Who else has had the three cuts? What do we think it might mean?

It could be to signify a connection between these characters

I believe Danielle had three cuts on her forearm from where Claire scratched her. It was either three or four -- if I'm remembering correctly. Not sure if it is significant, but it sure is common.

Right after the plane crashed, a lot of the fuselage survivors had those cuts on their faces... I think it was supposed to be like they had gotten scraped across the face by debris from the plane...

ya, it could just be the standard, boring, fake cuts for the actors on the show...but then again, maybe it's something more...?? we need a full list of who had these scratches.

see that kinda thing in tv / movies all over.. seems to be the standard "punch to the face" wound.
It could be to signify a connection between these characters
In that they all suffered similar physical traumas during the crash?

I always thought the cuts were important. They are too obvious and uniform. It is not a natural way of being hurt in such a horrific plane crash. And if this is the makeup departments view of injuries after cartwheeling through the jungle.. well....

Ethan had 4 fingernail scratches down his face, 3 of which were very long. They were definitely different from the 3 scratch pattern everyone else has.

I keep popping in here hoping someone has connected you to the thread where this was discussed.
I don't recall what the thread was called, but it was discussed as a religious connection.
There has been talk of scarification on the Tib's thread (tattoo on Eko) as well.
I can't think of the term, but it's when people get wounds that resemble the ones that Jesus would have gotten from being placed on the cross. Hope that helps.
