Hi. I'm Katie. I've been posting, mostly on the episode forums, for a few weeks, but I've never come down here for a proper introduction. I discovered Lost when I randomly decided to by the DVDs. They sat in my dorm room for about a month, taking a back seat to my friend's purchase of Alias. Talk about Lost time! When I finally did watch them I feel in love, finished the entire season in five days. It was pretty intense. Then I downloaded the first five season 2 episodes off I-tunes and the Lost love-fest continued... Now I have to watch the episode on love Tv and its so frustrating! I have never hated commercials more. Urrgg....

A friend recommended this site to me. It's awesome. I've looked through a few others, and while each forum has its gem conversation, so many seemed to be about hook-ups, who-love-who... I felt like I was on a Harry Potter fan site. I really love who dedicated people here are to discussing storytelling, characters and there developement, and, of course, the supremely cool mystery of the island.

My favorite characters right now are Sawyer, Locke, Ana Lucia, Libby, Jin, and Goodwin. Can I put Goodwin? He was only in one episode, but he got to me. I thought the scene where Ana Lucia confronted him was so well acted. I love the angst of Sawyer and Locke's background stories. I love that Sawyer is an ***-hole and Ana-Lucia is a crazy byatch. I am touched by Locke's religious devotion to the island -- it moves me and frightens me and leaves me excited. Very cool. And Jin -- he's just cool. I was never overly impressed with Jack, but I'm getting used to him. I don't understand Kate hate. I liked Born to Run and over time I'm becoming more fond of Whatever the Case May Be. I think my favorite episode, though, is Deus Ex Machina. The Locke episodes just kill me. I can't get enough of them.

Does anyone know where I can find a good avatar? Or, how I can put one up, even? I was trying to figure it out, but I'm a little lost...

I just love using that word as much as I can on the forum...

Okay, I will go away now.

Welcome to the fuse, Katie!

You have to be registered at least 10 days, & have at least 30 posts before you can put up an avitar.
Anyway, here's wishing you have fun & make lots of good friends!
Happy posting!

Thomas

Hi Kate...glad to have you. Instead of an avitar..hit the browse button and you can download a normal picture from your computer if you have any...that's what I did..

Enjoy..

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! Thomas -- thanks for explaining avitars. I checked my CP setting before I went to bed last night to see if I would have any better luck, and what do you know, I suddenly could. I was quite bewildered until I read you response. Thanks. :-)

Welcome to all the fun. I hope college doesn't interrupt the rest of your life too much! :)

lol, yeah, I try to keep it under control... you know, tell a few classes here and there that they just aren't happening, skip some reading....

Just kidding. I stay on top of things. Mostly.

I'm actually in a weird little funk as far as college is concerned. I'm seriously thinking of transfering to a smaller arts college in the Chicago and majoring in either film, televison, or fiction. It would be pretty wicked, and it would force me to write everyday. I'm just not writing like a should.

Well, I guess I should go off and do homework now, since I've been using this site to avoid it... or maybe I'll check out a different sub-section

Cheers
