Good Morning Damon,
I've been listening to the podcasts since you and Carlton started them and I really enjoy them. I'm on one of these people who have notes and books and all sorts of stuff with which to enjoy my favorite show, and I'm constantly hunting down new stuff.
Okay enough of the sentimentalities. Here are my questions:
1. Does the number of backstories a character has affect that character's importance to the show? For example, in Season 1, Jack had 4, Kate had 3, our dear darlin' Sawyer (guess you can see where my loyalty lies) had 2 and part of the season finale, etc. Of course, so far our dear darlin' Sawyer hasn't had any this season which, I must say, has me a little worried.
2. How much, if any, creative input is an actor allowed on the show? Example, I am a Southerner myself and I really notice the little nuances and voice inflections and all in Josh's delivery of his lines. Yes, I know he's a Southerner, too, but, I'm wondering how much ability to ad lib do the actors have? I constantly notice some of the comments and phrasing he does are very in keeping with his Southern roots, i.e. from Outlaws, "Now if I'm not mistaken, I'm fairly certain, I said I'd kill you if I ever saw you again...." You can't get much more Southern than that.
3. Finally, is there going to be a backstory for Sawyer on the Tampa job? You are mentioned in the LOST magazine as stating that you wanted to do something on it. Will that be this season or next season?
Okay I've taken up enough of your time. Thank you so much for giving us such a great show. Every episode is wonderful and there is nothing, I repeat, nothing about any of the shows that I don't like. They are all priceless.
Have a great day,
Talk to you soon,
Lisa
P.S. PLEASE DON'T KILL OFF OUR SAWYER!!!! (Sorry, just had to throw that in.)
