New to all of this. Did not join this Lost madness till a few weeks ago. Had some time to kill and rented the first season. What have I done? lol Missed the first 4 episodes to this season so I am a little umm lost.

I will do my best to add anything although reading some of the posts here, I have to admit to feeling a bit intimidated. Perhaps I will just be a red shirt in this group.

The only thing I can add up to now, and I do not know if this is the proper place (if not please feel free to tell me), but the one thing I have come up with is questioning if the writers of the show are Yankee fans (and my extension red sox haters). The reason I say this is because I know of at least one reference (done twice) about the Sox's never winning it all (Jack, and his dad). HOwever, and this may be a stretch but on the same day there was a birth (Aaron), there was also a death (Boone). Umm Aaron Boone hits the series winning home run for the Yankees against the sox. Just my two cents for now. I will try and do better later :)

I LOVE the Sox theory...good thinking...don't be intimidated...be afraid...be very afraid..

Kidding of course...

On the Tarmac means you are a beginner...soon, after more posts (50)..it will read "baggage" and then "economy" then to what is after my name on the list with enough posts..and on to Business Class and First Class and Upper Deck and GOD OF LOST!!!

"On the tarmac" means you just started. When you've got 30 or 40 posts, you'll move up to "baggage."

Thanks to all of you for making me feel welcomed. I have a question. It is important for me to learn the guidelines of this site since I would not want to ruin it for anyone.

I think I found something. I did a search and it seems no one has posted on this particular subject. It is about a person on board who has as far as I know not been seen as of yet. I found his name on a couple of other Lost related web sites. Where would I post this info, along with links to the sites?

Again thanks for all your help.

Hello Bohren :wavey:
Welcome to the fuselage:jump:
It helps to read the FAQ, which is in the tool bar at the top of the page.Click on Quick Links and look under warnings for the rules of the site.
I'm not sure about the Yankees thing. I know someone said the numbers 4,8,15,16,23,42 were all retired Yankee numbers.
Anything that has not aired on the show or anything from the promo is considered a spoiler.
I believe I read in Lost talk about a passenger having a book published. I think it is just a tie in for Lost merchandise and not a plot point. If you have read something at another site, odds are good it has already been discussed to death here:lol2: People around here visit a lot of sites and new info is posted fairly quickly.
The best place to ask questions is "questions for the adminstration and moderators" just asking on any other part of the board could lead to someone unintentionally giving you bad info, as I may have done.

I know exactally how you feel. My husband and I didn't watch a single episode of Lost last year, and then we saw ONE episode over the summer -- BAM we were hooked!
