Neither does anyone else! Has this been explored. None of them have dads.

Walt did not have his original dad until right before they got on the plane.

I guess that depends upon what you mean by "have a dad."

I think every just has "daddy issues." To me, Kate's story was heartbreaking.

jin said at one point that he had no dad, mabye its not so much that they don't have a dad.. just that they deny that particular person the title...

jack was ashamed? of his dad
jin was ashamed
Kate was ashamed/hateful/etc
for a good while walt resented mike
etc etc

just some thoughts...

For the Charlie's dad part Im not sure if this is completley true but someone said that his dad would be in 12th episode or something. And as for Hurley's dad, I belive its safe to say that his dad either left his mom or is dead as he didnt mention him when being interviewed about the lottery. Also i dont belive Sayid's dad has been mentioned yet either. :ohwell:

I believe a "dad" is somehow part of the theory. Sun really did not have a dad that was a great dad for her. Who knows, he may be dead now!

Come one people, we all have issues with our parents, our mothers, our fathers, in one way or another. It is the nature of humanity. Perhaps our issues are not as extreme as these characters on a television show, but our lives aren't being written for primetime television.

Sorry, have to disagree, I was in the service industry for years, and believe it or not there are people out there who have NO issues with their parents, I know it's hard to believe, I was surprized too! LOL! I do think there is some kind of "parent conection" .
Didn't Kate say to sawyer something like "I killed you because you were'nt "GOOD" and I was afraid I would'nt be good"? didn't Goodwin say "Nathan wastn't a Good Person"? Maybe these surviors are messed up because of the parents??? Now that I say that I hope I'm wrong....I have two kids I don't want in theropy later! Oh man I have to stop watching this show!!!!!! lol

True, but they all had "daddy issues"

Jin - denied his father, told Sun's dad that the man was dead. Eventually, they reunited, though.

Sun - her dad is basically a mob boss

Sawyer - but he died when Sawyer was roughly eight when he killed Sawyer's mom then himself

Shannon - her died married a Bitch and died

Jack - he's dead now, and he had a very bad influence over Jack's life

So they all had Dads, just crappy ones. Daddy issues are definately a theme.

I think Kate's dad is really Kate's mom.... Any South Park fans?
