We finally saw the door tonight to the hatch when kate and sawyer walked out. Anyone else let down by it just being there like that?

All that work for the hatch and the door was just sitting there. All along I was waiting for them to show it and expecting it to be cool, or crazy hidden in a trunk of a tree or something. But just sitting there behind some foliage and crap?

I think they showed the door before in S2E2.

But I guess it would be hard to find a door if you are not looking for one, it would be rather unexpected on a seemingly deserted island.

Didn't give it any thought. It was similar to the Arrow Station door. Too bad Locke and Boone's tracking skills did not lead them to this door, or things would have been very different...

We had seen the outside of this door in a previous episode... although I'm not sure which.

That being said, yes, it was disappointing the first time I saw it. Talk about a "say WHAT?" moment... I mean, come on, someone would have seen that thing, given that it can't be more than 80 feet from the actual hatch.

Um, we saw the door to the hatch awhile ago. But yeah, it wasn't as hidden as I thought, this probably makes more sense though. Since, as far as we know, there was no reason to hide the door when the hatches were built if just experiments were going on.

I seem to remember vines covering it when Jack exited it to chase Desmond, maybe I'm mistaken. But agreed, a mound with a door in its side seems a bit more predominant then the hatch buried under like XX feet of dirt.

When they walked out...it looked like the same area of trees where Sawyer had cut the mast.......that circle of tall thin trees in front of the door.....

Yes, I was extremely disappointed. I think it shatters the entire hatch story from last season to pieces and makes Locke and Boone look like total idiots.
