More and more of the Losties seem to have committed murder. Is the island just a type of jail for them? Like, maybe the government knows who they all are and so they are ok with these types of people being subjected to an unethical scientific experiment against their consent?

Holes I know, but I'm just throwing it out there.

Sounds like Pergutory *sp*?
Alot of them have had issues of a moral or ethical or legal conflicts.
Fate as a result of past actions

That would suck. I'm just saying...

Although yea several characters have committed murder. It brings memory to the fact of what Goodwin said "Nathan wasn't taken because he wasn't a good person."

So let's see what have the fuselagers done:

Jack: Sins against the father, leading to his fathers death. Criminal Negligence (take that my favourtie character)

Kate: Murder 1. Resisting Arrest. Attempted murder on idiot boyfriend and gang. Robbery. Being selfish. Getting Poor Tom killed because he was silly for not getting out of the car. (that's a lot of things you know)

Locke: So far nothing. Except he goes to phone sex lines so that is a sin or something i'm sure. Actually i'm not at all sure. Maybe Locke drowns puppies? Although that's a hugggggge stretch.

Sayid: Well torture, both on island and in iraq. Probably some murder in there, although they call it different things. Lied to his old best buddy leading to him dying.

Sawyer: Murder 1. Conning people out of they're money. He's got a long resume of offenses against decent society.

Jin: Hasn't killed anyone to my knowledge. Doesn't hit his wife. He beat the crud out of that one guy but he seems like a generally nice guy. Told people his dad was dead but his dad forgave him. Beat the crap out of Michael. Lot's of rage in the past.

Charlie: Ethan was blown away by Charlie. It's still murder in the eyes of the law. However they're is little room for things like civilized society on this island I guess... Drug user. Commits lots of sins, looks like he's on an alright path to redemption. Although a plance of heroin is something difficult to say no to when your a recovering heroin addict.

Michael: Put his wife through hell. But it was for his son. He did the right thing comming to get his son. Then got cold feet and asked his mom to take Walt. He hasn't killed anyone though.

Walt: May have killed that bird in "Special" but that is unsubstanciated. Throws knives but only at trees.

Claire: She got taken by Ethan. Remember Goodwin saying "Nathan wasn't a good person, that's why he wasn't on the list." Could the others be taking only good people. Granted this theory has so many holes in it I can't back it up much.

Anyway someone else can continue with this list cause i'm tierd. Night folks
