I have a few questions:

1. Where does Kate's flashback's take place?

2. How is she getting money? Did she cash a check, was it wired and from whom? Her childhood friend?

Just thought I'd throw those out there.

Not sure where the flashback took place, when the marshall arrested her she was buying a ticket for tallahassee wasnt she? So assuming that that was pretty much straight after she killed wayne, that would still put her somewhere in Florida? ( Sorry im from Australia so correct me if im wrong!! LOL)

As for her getting money, i dont think it was Tom because he seemed genuinely suprised to see her show up at his hospital, maybe the Beth that she mentioned in the pilot episode? Obviously she was in contact with someone she trusted, because they left a letter and money at the front desk of a hotel knowing that she'd be there to collect it.

The Marshal said they were driving to Iowa for her arraingment, which sounds like they were in a different state. She was fleeing to Talahassee, Florida.

My guess is she wasn't in Iowa when he caught her, because he wouldn't say they were driving to Iowa, unless there is a city in Iowa called Iowa???

If I remember Field of Dreams correctly, there is an Iowa City, but the Marshall would have said "We're going to Iowa City". At least that's my assumption. The only City I know of that people don't say the City if it's part of the name is New York City.

I'm not sure where the recruitment office was supposed to be in the TV show, but that scene looked like it was filmed in downtown Honolulu (as were several other scenes I've seen so far) :p

As for the bus depot scene. I'm not sure where that was supposed to be, but I did notice that the name of the newspaper (one of the marshals was reading) ended with "...vegian". Not sure where such a newpaper would be from though. Maybe Vegas...as they might consider themselves Las Vegians, but the "v" in the newspaper was lower-case.

I would assume that her the Army recruitment center she was at to meet her Dad was supposed to be in Florida. Just because of the palm trees. But, then again like noncentric said, it could have just been filmed in Honolulu.

I don't believe that's a random prop. In BTR there was a guard sitting outside Kate's mother's hospital room. He was reading a Daily Iowegian. It's a newspaper in Iowa. There was a story last season about Lost's prop dept. ordering one. This is probably the same paper.

Not sure where she was, but my theory is that her mother was wiring her some money! Remember the Marshall saying her mother gave her up. Her mother was wiring her money to a certain place so they could find her.

Great info..."Iowegian". So, I guess we could assume that the bus depot was in Iowa? Unless the marshal that was reading the newspaper in the bus depot had brought that Iowegian newspaper with him from Iowa, which seems unlikely...I would guess that he bought that newspaper there at the bus depot, or picked it up on the bus depot bench.

It would seem that Kate didn't get very far...as Iowa is also where the murder occurred...the Marshal said later during the car ride "That jury back in Iowa sure ain't going to get hung up on pre-meditation".
