Sun hasn't really got much going for her. Other than her waiting for the return of Jin which just happened, her storylines have been especially minimal this season. For a while when there were the spoilers about the female getting killed off I was convinced it was going to be Sun.

And if she DID die, it would open a whole new chapter for Jin, which would be a good storyline for the writers to have fun with.

Not that I want her to go, just an observation. But I predict that by the end of the show, she will be no more. I could be completely wrong though.

I hope not. And I don't think the writers will keep killing people just because they are finished with them. And I think a lot more can be done with her. What if Sun was to get pregnant? That would put a twist on things. And after all it did look like Jin got some one night. :-P We still have a lot more of her back-story to learn. How it was growing up as a kid living with her father. And so on. Also she really helps Jack with herbs and stuff. She gardens, and everything. Now that Jin is back, I hope she starts getting more involved with going into the jungle so she could get more recognition.

I wouldn't want SUn to die :( and i don't think the writers will simply start killing people off that way (although they've done it before) :) I think apart from knowing about herbal medicine, and helping people Sun's got a certain calming, peaceful presence that helps those around her.. she's just one of those people who'll always be ready to help and that's a good thing to have around..
also, everyone was dying to see her reunited with jin and now that they've sorted out their issues, it would be sort of pointless to kill her. I can't see Jin merrily mixing around with the other Losties if something happens to her. The guy's mad about her; enough to act like a slave/ hitman around her father for her sake. If she dies, how will he handle it?

Exactly. It would be horrible for her to die. Jin would have someone he just reunited with to be taken away!

I think Sun is pretty safe, because she's the "herb woman" they all need for medicine and food. However, I think Jin could go eventually, since Sun and Jin are now a happy reconciled couple and happiness is not allowed in the Lostverse. NEW CONFLICT NEEDED. But it won't be this season. The Shannon and Sayid storyline was too harrowing for something like that to be repeated anytime soon, in my opinion.

Maybe she will find out that Kate manipulated her into trying to poison Jin. That could lead to conflicts, both with Jin and with Kate. We also have yet to learn what caused Jin and Sun to become estranged in the first place. The change in Sun's style of dress sometime in the course of their marriage, and Jin's overbearing attitude at the beginning of the season, make me wonder if there was suspicion of infidelity at some point. I don't think the Jin/Sun storyline is complete by a longshot.

i disagree... i think libby should be the next to go.... what does she bring to the show??? The reason Jin is how he is now is because of all the things her father was making him. I mean, hes a murderer because of her father, and in the end, she needs to confront that man. She needs to tell her father off, and Jin and Sun should fall back in love again.

Maybe they're saving the best for last. We still don't know everything about her past yet. I hope she gets to do more this season. Oh yeah, I just thought about something, Sun is really needed at the camp because of the herbs and she's good at keeping people calm... but it would still be nice to see her get in on the action. Also she's still teaching Jin english and that'll take some time.

I hope they don't kill off anymore people right now. It's probably an emotional roller coaster for the cast. Maybe not quite a roller coaster but just dealing with becoming friends with someone and them being killed/fired off the show. That part must be tough.:frown:

someone mentioned libby? again, we really don't know anything about her, other than her job back in the real world.. she may bring something really useful or important.. or she may just be there for comic relief.. apparently TPTB wrote her in as a sort of female version of Hurley for the tailies???? That, I don't get.. I mean, Hurley's hilarious and really lovable, and she doesn't seem to have the same personality..
anyway, guess we'll all wait and see!

In the Lost chronicles they suggest Jack. No one would expect it and to be honest although he's a genuinely nice person i just subconciously don't like him.

It would be pointless for her to die cause then jin wouldn't be able to talk to anyone besides saying the odd word here and there. I think michael is a good candidate to get killed off next because of walt for example when Shannon started seein walt she ended up dying and now walt is contacting michael think about it people. although to really shake up the viewers i think they should kill off locke it would be so shocking!!!

If they kill off either Sun or Jin, I'll probably stop watching Lost altogether.

I'm not saying that to be childish. Actually, the only reason I started watching Lost in the first place is because there are 2 Korean characters. *shrug* So I'm a bit biased.

Besides, I'm living overseas so I have to download Lost from iTunes and pay $1.99 an episode. I really would stop watching it!

We'll see how things work themselves out though, it doesn't appear that death is necessarily on her horizon.

I think it would definitely be a tragic mistake by the writers to kill her off. How would Jin communicate? I guess they do say that the best way to learn a language is to surround yourself with people who speak it so you have no choice but to learn!

sun is getting attention soon but

she wont die, there is an attempt to kidnap her in the next eppy but its a failed mission as sun gets away and gets saved. I must say the preview for next week is brill seeing sun dragged away like that is spooky, luckily shell be alright though
