I posted this same message at the "White Rabbit" section of the S1 board, but no one is replying.

I noticed that right after Jack's dad is zipped up in the body bag, there is a noticable rise where his mouth is. (Breathing) It seemed very deliberate. I think it was subtle, but it was a clue that Jack's dad faked his own death or he miraculously came back to life.

If you watch the DVD, you will notice an obvious rise by the mouth part of the bodybag at the instant he is zipped up. The camera angle is meant to pick up this subtle clue as well. Why won't anyone agree with me!!!

because it's probably a mistake.

It doesn't seem like a mistake...it really seems obvious that the bodybag rises, like the directors/writers, etc, wanted the viewer to notice it.

Kinda like when Hurley and Charlie biried Ethan. If you look closely you can see he's breathing.

I can't believe I wasted by time looking that up. It is a tv show for gooness sake.

It's known by most actors in the industry that acting dead is one of the hardest things to do hence the controversy over Ethan's breathing. TPTB have said that regardless of what everyone may have seen, Ethan is premanently dead. Also, Jack's dad's body was on the plane when it crashed. The bodybad is probably made that way for the actor, not the show.

hihi this is fun!!!
1 it seems that, on this show, everything happens for a reason
2 but is it possible that literally EVERYTHING we see/hear has a deep, mysterious meaning? or does even LOST have elements that are just there for the sake of making interesting TV rather than inspiring theories and arousing questions
3 but, even on this show, some mistakes are bound to be made???
4 ethan IS dead, right? he got SHOT, remember?!?!?! as far as I know, this is not a show in which the bad guy's one of those immortals...
5 if everything happens for a reason, than WHY would Christian fake his death?
