View Full Version : Was anything new revealed? ottomatic 01-12-2006, 10:34 AM Either by the voice over guy or by re-editing? Locke for Hire 01-12-2006, 11:01 AM I think that the purpose of the episode was to show us what we SHOULD be focusing on to figure out what IS going on in the show. blahbityblah 01-12-2006, 11:33 AM I don't know if it was everywhere, but over here, Revelations got pushed back to 1:35am because of some Marlo Thomas fund raiser, i think it was the March of Dimes or somethin. lookinLost 01-12-2006, 12:28 PM I'm still pondering this.............The ep name of "Revelation" led me to believe that some important tidbit of info (i.e. clue) would be thown out. Perhaps it was an ep to refocus us and to somewhat prioritize the storylines. The absence of the numbers seemed to shout to me---not sure what we are supposed to make of that...... gumionday 01-12-2006, 01:23 PM I only noticed one thing. That when boone was in the plane using the radio that he was actually talking to bernard on the other side of the island and they were both infact survivors of flight 815. So Ana was wrong it wasn't the others trying to lure them out. Crazy how the can put those things together. i_sued_oceanic 01-12-2006, 06:08 PM Absolutely nothing was new... u guys are catching new things probably because you've missed an episode here or there...but nothing was new...i didn't like how the numbers were nowhere to be found in Revelation...even though its a maaaaajor point in the plot Giantsox 01-12-2006, 07:10 PM Absolutely nothing was new... u guys are catching new things probably because you've missed an episode here or there...but nothing was new...i didn't like how the numbers were nowhere to be found in Revelation...even though its a maaaaajor point in the plot The numbers were missing, and Hurley was missing also. I might be wrong, but I think that they only showed him in the beginning of the ep when he dove to the ground during some explosion from the pilot ep. I have not had the chance to re-watch the ep yet, but does anyone else remeber seeing Him? Last time I checked, he was an important member of the cast, not to mention he probably has the stongest ties to the numbers that were also absent. What gives? Accidental Tourist 01-12-2006, 07:17 PM Seemed like a glorified re-cap episode to me. I didn't know that was Boone on the other end of that radio though. I was wondering about that. colleen in seoul 01-13-2006, 01:33 PM Man I wish I could've seen it.. but iTunes doesn't have it on there for downloading. i_sued_oceanic 01-13-2006, 03:06 PM Man I wish I could've seen it.. but iTunes doesn't have it on there for downloading. Revelations was a one shot deal...it won't be on iTunes and it won't be on the Season 2 DVD...kind of a bummer...but you won't need a recap episode if you buy Season 2... and yeah..i also didn't see Hurley... ladyrune24 01-13-2006, 03:23 PM I caught a couple of extremely short scenes I hadn't seen or didn't remember, like Mike telling Sun the isle was no place to raise Walt and some from the tail section. It also showed a more realistic "Collision" between Shannon and Ana with the rain and wind howling along with the whispers. It made it more believe about for me that it was just a mistake. As for the numbers, which I was a huge fan of figuring out, I feel they were deliberately omitted as TPTB have said there is no meaning to them as far as they are concerned and didn't understand how we could expect one. They are trying to downplay them now and redirect our attention. giggles 01-13-2006, 05:36 PM okay, this may be a dumb question, but what/who is TPTB?? Laurieg 01-14-2006, 03:13 PM The Powers That Be.......In other words the guys in charge...lol DangerKitty 01-14-2006, 03:22 PM I think the numbers are important, just not those particular numbers. In other words, the numbers do connect a lot of things but they don't refer to any particular things. ie: biblical chapters, cooridinates, etc. For example, they could have used any set of numbers, or letters or the names of the seven dwarfs...it's not those exact numbers that are the issue..it's the fact that the information matches. Tiny Time Machine 01-14-2006, 03:42 PM if the writers want the numbers to mean something they should just say that they're the co-ordinates of the island. it's an easy out if they really didn't have anything in mind before. Laurieg 01-15-2006, 06:54 AM I have all way thought and still do think the numbers mean.....OH crap.... Meaning, the numbers them selves don't mean a thing. But when they pop up you can count on somthing bad happening. flyingv 03-13-2006, 08:52 AM I caught a couple of extremely short scenes I hadn't seen or didn't remember. Same here, ladyrune24. I only watched Revelation this weekend, there were two scenes I certainly don't remember seeing before and they both involved Kate. One is with Jack where she is asking him about his tattoos but he's not telling, and the other is with Sawyer who is asking Kate why Jack makes her "all weak in the loins". I don't remember either of these scenes. Does anyone know what episode these are taken from? I realise this was a while ago, and this post may go unseen for a while, but thanks in advance if anyone can help. Marl64 04-05-2006, 11:29 AM The absence of the numbers seemed to shout to me---not sure what we are supposed to make of that......Depends how far you want to stretch it with the Numbers. And this is stretching it.. When Desmond is on the excercise bike, there's a shot of the speedo - The speedo is at 15. Ok, no wait, there's more. The way the shot is framed, the lowest number visible on the main dial of the speedo is 4 and the highest is 42. Probably coincidence right? (ok, probably not new to this ep, but I only noticed it during this one) austenlover 04-15-2006, 01:20 AM who knew that boone was on the radio??? Phaedrus 04-18-2006, 05:08 AM Hi, This is my first post. Revelation aired last night in Ireland. Revelation my ***Mod edited to remove creative spelling - please do not attempt to get around the language filter!***! I agree that the only shot of Hurley was him hitting the dirt at the start. Is there any significance to the fact that Bernard was found in the jungle (by one of the Others (Goodwin?), as it happens...) strapped into a chair, when at the time of the crash, he was supposed to be in the toilet? Remember - Jack said to Rose that her husband is a very smart man and she replied that he could tell him when he returns from the toilet. And why was Bernard in a toilet all the way down the BACK of the plane at the time of the crash, when his seat was in row 23, up front? Is this just all bad continuity? Mark Kell 04-20-2006, 08:39 AM who knew that boone was on the radio??? Pretty much everyone who saw season one or season two. |
