Hi Raggs,
Maybe this is trade secret but I am just curious to know how you guys decide on the order and number of flashbacks each character will have a season? Is it based on fan reaction, ABC or the writers' personal preferences? Is it something which is planned months ahead or is it an impromptu decision or draw out of the hat thing?

I really feel that some of the S1 regular casts are being much neglected this year. Hopefully this is going to change soon. Still waiting for my Sawyer episode...

Hi bobbinghead,

Ulitmately, it is a Damon decision as to which character is going to be serviced in which episode. All of us in the writers office try to feel out what we think will be the best order in which to tell the story, but at the end of the day, Damon has the final word. Rest assured, however that we do try to keep in mind that the fans are clamoring for certain people to be thrust into the spotlight. And to that end, you will have your Sawyer episode coming your way very, very soon...

Hi Raggs,
Thanks for taking your time to answer. Do the actors or actresses have any say in this? And do they talk with the writers about how they want their episodes to go..Matthew Fox says in interviews that he talks to the writers and expresses to them how he wants his characters to go...But all the while I thought the actors only get their script and have no idea what's going on until right before their episode...Do writers actuall listen to the actors..I think it would be very tough for you guys if you have to listen to 10,000 people opinions and try to accomodate all of them...

Sorry for taking so much of your time..Lost is a great show..Keep up with the good job.

To try to discuss the struggle between writers and actors and who, exactly is driving the bus creatively would take far more time than we have here. Suffice it to say, the answer to your question would vary greatly depending upon who you ask.

The best thing at fuselage.com is that we can actually ask the creative teams about things and actually get their interactive replies...And I really appreciate your taking time to answer my questions. Thanks again Raggs.
