i did a search on letssingit.com for "hearts and minds". i figured i'd find something, since most of the titles (apart from pilot, of course) have corresponded with a song. here are the lyrics; http://www.letssingit.com/bamboo-war-of-hearts-and-minds-zl1gg4h.html . i've never heard this song or heard of it before in my life, but i think it coincides with the boone/shannon story.

I'm still stuck on "La Mer." Based upon what Jack Lawrence (the songwriter who discarded Trenet's lyrics to write the Bobby Darin version) I think we may be lost on Empathy Island:
