Yeah, this was a great episode! Lots of great character moments, lots of revelations!

The only things i didn't like, the fact that no one seemed to care about the new hatch and what Claire had been through (maybe next episode though), and Locke at the end... I just think they're stretching someone who was the best character in the whole show, making him someone he wasn't/shouldn't be.

Great episode though.

Its definately one of my favorite episodes of season 2...Well done :)

I just have a question.... How did all the people like Ethan and all of them held Clair ein that place leave? I know it was a few months ago and all, but why arent they on there still- I mean those guys were on an island and all.

OMG!!! :shock1: :jawdrop: :scared: NOW we're getting somewhere!!!

Only a couple of gripes:

(1) It is WAY past time for a pow wow over current events on that Island!! That hatch and Claire's memories should be THE focus of their attention. And don't tell me that it should happen OFF screen. It's just not realistic that this development would not be bombshell news in that camp.

Otherwise, outstanding progress and some solid answers!! AT LAST!!! :clapping:

Fantastic episode. It leaves you with wanting to know more, which is probably good since it won't be back on till March 22nd. For those that were wanting to know more answers or clues I think this episode provided it. I thought it was nice to see Rousseau's character fleshed out a bit more with the revelation she helped Claire escape from the area. And, that Alex may have helped Claire escape the hatch? Brilliant. I can't wait for the next episode.

Plus, Mr. Eko is the man!

I have been critical in....well all season really, but I cannot say how much I liked tonights eppy. Reveals, no lame flashbacks from once upon a time that doesnt matter, and it was exciting from start to finish. Maybe TPTB have been listening to the strong vocal minority of unsatisfied fans. Excellent all around.

I'll be honest...this season hasn't been very much for me, but in the past two episodes, and especially the one tonight, they have totally made it all up to me. This is what I love about Lost, not spending an hour on memory lane, but actually exploring and finding things. But I do have to say that when Eko was in the room with Henry and he put the knife to his own throat, I sort of screamed. I thought he was going suicidal on us. And then after I felt like a totally dummy.

Anyways, the episode ROCKED.

Catch a falling star an’ put it in your pocket,
Never let it fade away!
Catch a falling star an’ put it in your pocket,
Save it for a rainy day!

For love may come an' tap you on the shoulder,
Some star-less night!
Just in case you feel you wanna’ hold her,
You’ll have a pocketful of starlight!

Catch a falling star an’ ( Catch a falling . . . ) put it in your pocket,
Never let it fade away! ( Never let it fade away! )
Catch a falling star an’ ( Catch a falling . . . ) put it in your pocket,

For love may come and tap you on the shoulder,

Catch a falling star an’ ( Catch a falling . . . ) put it in your pocket,

For when your troubles startn’ multiplyin’,
An' they just might!
It’s easy to forget them without tryin’,
With just a pocketful of starlight!

Yea it was a great eppy! I'm happy to finally see what's up with Claire and the baby, cause they left us hanging when that happened, way back when. So its awesome to get some closure on that. I am happy to see Rosseau being more involved as well, since she is sort of a friend of the Base Camp Losties, for awhile now.
I just hope that Locke realizes that "other" is purposefully filling his head with crap to conquor and destroy.:frown:

Exceptional episode, arguably the best episode so far season. I loved every second of this one. This is how an excellent episode of Lost is supposed to be. We get some answers, but we get even more questions. I love it when they do that.

This was one of the few times where I was loving the flashbacks more than what was going on island-time! I knew it was Ethan as soon as I heard his voice, such an awesome character! I hope we see him in more flashbacks in the future, too bad that he's dead on the island.

What were the shapes on the wall in the station?

Henry Gale is one sneaky little bugger. He's gonna have the survivors at each other's throats! Locke falls for it again!

Withdrawal is gonna be pretty bad after an awesome episode like this, but at least we have something to talk about for the next 3 weeks off!

Finally, an AWESOME episode during a season which has been sluggish. Easily the best this season, so I tip my hat! You've reinvigorated my interest :)

What's also hurt this season has been the excessive off-weeks -- waaaay too many to keep the pace.

Now I have to wait seven more days... I'm going to burst! Reminds me of my excitement during season one!

Actually... "Catch a falling star" was the song that Claire's dad (I think) used to sing to her when she was little and wanted to be sung to the baby, we discovered this in one of her later flashbacks last season.

Also, did anyone else notice that the crib in her nightmare in Season 1 (with the blood and all) was the same one in the room that The Others had taken her too? If I recall correctly she had that nightmare shortly BEFORE she was taken. Hmmmm.

Overall... LOVED this episode!! Definately in the top 5 of this season so far.

Dang good episode, one of the top three of this season.

Answered a ton of questions and move the plot along in a big way.

I liked how it was an all girl episode, it was nice to see that they didn't feel the need to drag Jack, Locke or Sawyer along. It's nice to see the ladies take care of business once in a while. It was also great to finally have an expidition were unneeded charictors invite themselves along.

The scene with Echo and Gale was classic.

The divide between Locke and Jack widening ever so subtally.

Alex being a good-guy-Other.

Gail picking at Locke's charactor-scab.

If the Fuselage had some kind of award for great episode, this one would win it.

This was definitely one of the most fantastic episodes we've seen! In both seasons in my opinion! I just love answers. I know that the show doesn't want to give away too much too fast (and I don't want them too either! That would mean the end) but I love getting answers and when they are this shocking and interesting I just can't get enough!

I have to say that one of my favourite shocking and revealing moments was Kate finding the disguise stuff in the locker. How awesome was that? Not to mention the implications from it.

Locke at the end... I just think they're stretching someone who was the best character in the whole show, making him someone he wasn't/shouldn't be.

Best written & best directed episode this season!

The close ups of Danielle were incredible! She deserves an emmy for her performance tonight!

Eko & Gale! Absolutely brilliant! I dont know what Eko's motive was or why he cut off his chin braid, but you could tell this guy didn't have him fooled at all!

And finally - the way Locke let Gale play him like a dime fiddle! Was it just me or does it seem like Locke over reacted? I hope there's an explanation coming up for his outburst!

This is the kind of episode that makes Lost the best show on television!

One of the top 5 this season... A great ladies night it was.
So much beauty...and all the twists in plot...

Emilie was amazing tonight. Her drugged scenes was just awesome to watch. Same with end scene with her and Aaron. Ethan was nice to watch, and he was less intimidating and more caring tonight.

That also explain why he tried so hard getting her back.... Zeke may have given him an ultimatum....retrieve Claire or die... then the Island karma turned on him and the Rock God kills him...

Hatch and Gale...whooa....That was intense stuff...
Gale will become the coconut to Eko's rock....
Poor Locke...didnt even se he was getting played.

Was it just me, or did the direction in this episode seem completely different then the previous episodes? Anyone know who the director was? The cutaways seemed very different then usual. I dont know but it worked for me ;).

This was Ragg's and DKNY's (dawn) first episode they have written and it was fabulous.

The divide between Locke and Jack widening ever so subtally.
Actually..think of it.... it may just drive them closer together if they can just talk about it.

Locke now knows he's an other. Gale peeled him like a banana. If Jack could be less by the book, he would see it. They should have let Sayid and Eko share Gale for an hour or two.. Then we might get the full story on him.

There was only one thing that annoyed me about tonights episode: The order of the ending scenes, Claire's scene with Aaron was just so touching and should have been last... seeing as she was the flashback character.

What an awesome episode, Claire (Emilie), Danielle (Mira), Libby (Cynthia), Eko (AAA), Gale (Michael) and Ethan (William) were just absolutly enthralling tonight, I hope there is another episode like this in the future - although I can't think of a reason why Claire would have another flashback about the Maternity hatch, it was just awesome. Ethan seemed so caring in a sinister kind of way, the flashback when they were sitting on the log.
However the scene when Claire tells Danielle about Alex was absolutly supurb, along with Claire and Aaron they made the night for me A+ episode.

* Loved the sweet ending with Claire and Aaron.
* Loved Danielle in this episode. I
* I'm so happy to see Alex and I agree with those before me - I'm so glad she's a good guy.
* I had totally forgotten what Ethan looked like. It was awesome to see him again.
* Locke is showing his angry side again.

And any episode with both no Ana or Charlie gets bonus points for me.

Well I have to say. This is the Lost that I know and love. I was very sceptical after the last epi or two and had been very doubtful. But Wow! It was perfecto! WTG guys, I now feel like we are back on track with the writing of this show. There was good flow from the last epi to this one. Thank you.

Funny thing is, I know we won't have anymore new epis for a month now, but last nights epi somehow made it a little easier to accept the dry spell for the reruns coming up.

Well Done!

This was one of the best episodes lately (but compared to the rest of the season that's not saying much).

I'll wait and see how the rest of the season goes. Hopefully they continue making progress as they did in this epsiode and don't revert back to the slow epiosdes where we get redundant flashbacks and little advancement.

This episode satisfied some of my curiosity on what happened with Claire. They looked at her as if she were crazy but it was all true. The suspense was there. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Especially that whole scene with Eko and Henry. Intebnse. From beginning to end I felt all these emotions. I thought this was the best episode of Season 2 for sure. Alot of questions got answered but not too many! I had always wondered what happened to Claire and am so glad they finally got around to answering it.

The whole was very creepy too and that is one thing I like about it. That music starts to play and you just get a knot in your throat, like "o.k....NOW what's going to happen" and it never fails to deliver SOME kind of emotion in you. Whether its fear, dread, happiness or loathing. The show last night delivered and it's what we FANS have come to expect! Loved it!!!!

Claire finally DID something...instead of standing around whining. We found out what happened to claire when she was taken. ( The wigs & stuff in the locker...wow...wouldnt have ever guessed that mcBeardy was playing dress up). We can assume that young girl was Alex...poor rousseau...at least she knows now that she's alive. I thought it was a pretty damn good episode. I thought it was up there with "The Other 48 Days", "Collision", "The 23rd Psalms", "The Hunting Party" and "The Long Con". I gave it an 8. For once we saw a female-only expedition into the jungle. There were times that Emilie de Ravin was a bit over-the-top, but overall I thought she gave a very emotional performance. Mira Furlan (of whom I've been a fan of since her years on BABYLON 5) was superb. And Cynthia Watros, AAA (I'm surprised that he didn't cause Mr. Henry Gale to shit in his pants) and the two actors who played Ethan and the prisoner, Henry. As for Evangeline Lilly - I'm trying to figure out if her acting was ineffective, or was it simply her character, Kate. Hmmm . . . I'll go with Kate being ineffective and simply praise Miss Lilly for doing such a good job of projecting this. Poor Kate! She seemed so determined to show how Alpha Female she could be, and instead:

a) She failed to intimidate Sawyer into giving her a gun and had to tell him about Claire's situation;

b) She failed to be an effective protector for Claire, who was so intent and obssessed with finding out about those missing two weeks that she completely disregarded Kate's efforts; and

c) She failed to intimidate Danielle, who simply called her bluff with a death wish.

I guess that Kate is more dangerous when she is being subtle. By the way, what did she find and has she told anyone about it?

We also found out a lot about the Others:

a) Ethan and the Bearded Guy are part of the Dharma Initiative;

b) The Bearded Guy does not really have a beard;

c) The Others are not a ragtag group as they have led the Lostaways to believe;

d) The DI must have a way and communication off the island, considering the state of their equipment in Claire's flashback;

e) Danielle's daughter, Alex, is alive and obviously doesn't approve of the DI's methods.

On a whole, a very intriguing episode.

Is there a general rule about not posting comments until after the episode airs. Some people have access to the episode before others, why not just ignore the comments until you have seen the show? When I saw Raised By Another last season it blew me away. Yeah there were great episodes before and after it, but it was an awesome episode that really changed my whole view of Lost.

Maternity Leave was just as excellent. I have goose bumps, this episode was so good. I feel like the mystery is really starting to unfold. We have confirmation on the constellations of Apollo/stations theory, which is so awesome that a Fusie figured that out at the beginning of the season. We know what happened to Claire. The mystery of the others is starting to be solved, but is still perplexing and mysterious. I just can't think of anything bad to say about this episode. It was great. I have to admit that lately, while I still enjoy Lost, I was wondering if I was enjoying it as much as I did last season. Well after this episode, I can definitly say that I am enjoying Lost as much as last season.

Loved it, loved it, loved it! Very powerful, some great revelations, and it completely blew a couple of my theories out of the water! I didn't expect to find out that The Others are really just one, well-coordinated group, or that they could be so damn manipulative. The last scene w/ Henry playing Locke was just brilliant! The only thing missing was the telltale smirk! Kudos to TPTB for yet another really strong epi.

Loved the ep? Tell us.

Pretty damn good episode. Not a real "wow" factor like when TPTB unexpectedly revealed the monster in The 23rd Psalm, but very satisfying in that it answered several questions (while, of course, leading the viewer to ask even more questions) and actually made past episodes and character's actions make more sense--a real "connecting" episode that felt like it was part of the big picture (and reminded me that despite the recent filler episodes, there still is a big picture).

The Good: Although it shouldn't have taken as long as it did (something like 30 episodes and a year in viewer's time) and there wasn't anything unexpected (we already could figure out that Claire was taken by The Others so they could experiment on and take her baby, and we also knew from Danielle's scratch that she had something to do with Claire's escape), but it was extremely satisfying to finally have the answer to what happened to Claire when she was kidnapped.

TPTB also managed to make sense out of Claire's frustratingly convenient "amnesia" in that she was in a two-week drug-induced stupor, was chloroformed, and finally cracked in the head by the butt of Danielle's rifle. In retrospect her memory loss seems much more understandable and less of a hackneyed cop-out by TPTB.

Similarly, TPTB also made Charlie's murder of Ethan (which was there coup de grace of hackneyed cop-outs) allot more justifiable by portraying Ethan as incredibly cold and deceitful and inhuman in his treatment of Claire--a much deeper level of evil than if he were just some slow-talking thug he had been portrayed as previously. Now I can agree with Charlie wholeheartedly: Ethan deserved to die. (In fact I wish he suffered more before dying!)

Meanwhile, Danielle was deftly returned to her character's roots (before she lost all sympathy and credibility with her seemingly hysterically irrational actions during last season's finale) by re-energizing her intensity in her desperate search for Alex. Once again we were reminded that she is an emotionally destroyed woman who has carried on in total isolation for 16 years for one reason (to find Alex), and may yet be an important ally to the Lostaways.

And finally, a distinct link was provided between the Others different treatment of the Tailes camp and the Lostaways camp when we learned that Ethan was supposed to make a list of the Lostways in the same way that Goodwin did with the Tailies. Apparently without the List, the Others couldn't raid the Lostways beach camp and kidnap who they wanted. Perhaps this is why the Lostwaways have been left alone all this time.

Oh, and I have to mention: Please more Mr. Eko! As usual he was brilliant, and he gave the sense that so long as he's around, maybe the Others aren't as untouchable as they'd like to believe.

The Bad: I appreciated TPTB returning to "the sickness" plot, but all it really did was serve as a reminder that it's there. Nothing really advanced that plot line forward and TPTB reverted to the same old nonsensical lack of questioning when it came to Claire not asking Danielle what the symptoms of the sickness are (that would have been the obvious and most important question in determining whether Aaron indeed had "the sickness" or just a simple case of rosiola as Jack diagnosed).

And speaking of hackneyed cop-outs, it was disappointing to hear Mr. Friendly referring to a "him" (presumably the next mystery person up the chain of command behind the island happenings).

Lastly, I'm on the fence on Henry Gale. I like that TPTB tipped their hand with his obvious (and a little too easy) manipulation of Locke, but it's still sad to see Locke's character continue to devolve into that sad, wimpy guy who worked in a box factory.

The Stupid: OK, the idea of pushing a button every 108 minutes or else (or else what? we don't know) was sufficiently cartoonish, but at least Jack openly scoffed at the ridiculous (actually comical) seriousness that Desmond and the Locke seemed to treat it with. This whole hill-billy costumes (complete with fake beards and Dharma brand theatrical glue) though takes the lunacy to another level (making it harder still to take the island mysteries seriously). My first reaction was that TPTB must be joking.

Now maybe the "clean" look that Ethan and Mr. Friendly showed (and the costumes) was simply TPTB way of making up for the negative reaction their initial Others as rags-wearing, no shower-taking, seabilly pirates elicited from viewers, because if they just dressed up in their costumes as a ruse or as part of this whole "experiment" then it's going to take allot of elaboration to take it seriously. Starting with, if they were dressing as island survivors in rags for the benefit of some ruse on the Lostwaways, then why was that conga-line of Others in The Other 48 Days dressed like that as well (when they didn't know anyone was around--or did they?).

Overall a promising episode, but will TPTB keep it up, or feel like they can revert to filler again until the season-finale?

Good points, as usual, Malachy. I was also wondering
why was that conga-line of Others in The Other 48 Days dressed like that as well (when they didn't know anyone was around--or did they?).

Perhaps Mr. Friendly, Ethan and their bunch are some sort of command staff of Others and there are other lower ranking Others that roam around in tattered clothing.

There was no justification for cold-blooded murder. I don't care how cold-blooded or deceitful Ethan was. Charlie murdered him when he was not in a position to defend himself and when he was down. It's murder plain and simple and I find it odd that people would go to lengths to justify killing someone in cold-blood, simply because the victim is a "bad guy".

Is it possible that the rags that the Others were wearing earlier was simply a ruse to trick the Lostaways?

Either they just want to insure they are perceived as a different group of castaways even if accidently spotted by the Losties - or they want to do that incase they are accidently spotted by Danielle or some as yet unknown other group.

It also seems Alex is NOT indoctrinated into ZF's group's goals (since she rescued Claire) which may indicate existence of another group.

Um...NOT cold-blooded murder..I recall Charlie being hung up in a tree to die. As well as Ethan attacking Jack. There are no POLICE to report a crime to. Charlie couldn't have just left Ethan alone to possibly SUCCEED in murdering one of the other losties!

I talk about a lot of things in my review for this episode, but one thing I don't get into is Emilie. The fact is that I loved her in this episode. She gets to show a lot of range in this episode, and there are moments where her beauty is almost overwhelming. Just like Grace Park on "BSG", whom the camera loves, Emilie has a natural presence. She really shines in this role, and as usual, I love the fact that she gets to speak with her natural accent. With all of that being the case, is it any wonder that I enjoyed this episode?

Here's my review for Lost 2.15: "Maternity Leave":

http://www.entil2001.com/series/lost/season2/lost2-15.html

Overall, this episode continues to build on the recent improvement and consistency, providing context to past events while advancing a few plot threads in the process. This is one of those rare occasions where questions are answered and the subsequent issues raised are largely satisfying. There’s a terrific momentum to the season now, and it’s quite welcome.

This episode was the Anti-"The Long Con".

Both episodes are Brilliant, but Con was so because of the character development and story, and this one was so because of the Other beautiful aspect of this show: Answers. And more questions.

A lot of people all over the internet are spazzing over this ep because a Lot was revealed. And while I'm not one of the ones who think that any episode with no answers sucks... this one ha d aLot of them and was extremely fun to watch.

The creative team has shown now on a Few occasions that they really can make viewers satisfied with intriguing answers, but yet still confuse them with the new questions, and this was just as much fun and just as exciting as "MOSMOF". Wonderful episode.

I just got word that we have to wait TWO more weeks til the next episode. What is it with the excessive off-weeks this season? I really don't get it -- and especially after an awesome episode like this... why jeopardize that momentum?

Anyway... Does anyone think the writers realized fans were getting impatient, with the filler episodes and redundant flashbacks, and decided to give us an episode of this caliber? Or was it fluke?

I hope they maintain this tempo.... PLEASE don't revert to filler material and boring flashbacks next week.

I can't express how relieved I was to have not had to sit through yet another episode that was mostly someone's back history which just went to explain how or why they're doing something in the present day on the Island...

Oh wait - it was exactly that (the creators are trapped in that as their theme now). But at least this was referring to recent events and they were all Island and Dharma/others related and actually explained one of the big mysteries of last season (Claire's disappearance and memory loss) -at long last. Yay!

To be honest I'd been starting to get a bit tired of the movie-of-the-week/soap opera syled character doodlings of most of this season's episodes, (not that they aren't good mind) because none of these were why I got hooked on Lost in the first place. I hope this isn't a fluke episode though and that they decide to lapse back into dragging everything out slowly and tortuously bit by bit again. Because to me - this episode was them really getting back on track again.

We will get I think 8 more new episodes of Lost , but there are 12 weeks left in the TV season. So, they have don't have a choice, but to have a couple of re-runs in the mix.

the locker room scene rocked.

just one detail i loved: sawyer's new glasses. the half white, half black ones told us he was a character splitted beetween "good" and "evil", after the long con it looks like he turned back, so black glasses. love these minor stuff. when will sawyer get some white glasses? :D

I was pretty happy with this episode, I think mostly because none of it took place before the crash. It gave it a much better sense of continuity to me, a better feel for what's going on with the Losties and the Island. The pre-crash stuff just usually does not thrill me that much this season. Also there were some interesting revelations as well as interesting new questions (why the disguises, etc).

Are there really only 8 more episodes this season? :frown:

in lost there's an obvious contrast beetween black and white - in the pilot locke explains walt backgammon and says 'two players, two sides, one is light, one is dark.'; in house of the rising sun, at the caves with our adam and eve jack finds one black and one white stone; in collision jack and ana meet, jack wearing a white shirt, ana wearing a black one; in the long con after sawyer played jack and locke and when he's telling everybody there's a new sheriff in town jack is wearing a black shirt, locke is wearing a white shirt, sawyer and kate are also wearing contrasting colors; it goes on and on.. :lipsseal:

Maternity Leave was pretty darn good,,One fault was a bit too much of Aaron..His incessent wailing started gettin to me. Then I realized how he was manipulating Claire. Then I realized how manipulation seemed to run thru the episode.
..What struck me was the depth of Surrealism being explored. The female conflict resolution ending with Claire saying to Aaron, back together, I love you, I love you,,versus Lockes tantrum showing signs of crackage. When I thought about the paths that led to each ending..i was hearing some of the original Surrealists doctrine..Thru Danielles sorrow and loss, Claire rediscovers her Love for Aaron...her desire. While the guys try to keep secrets, use blackmail, not so subtle intimidation, leading up to Henry playing Locke for his own insecurities., In the reality of the show, the guys didn't resolve anything,,while the women did.
..The tie to surrealism is that the original surrealist had had it with the macho male dominated thinking because it led to atrocities such as WW1 and WW2 was looming on the horizon.
..As every episode of Lost has been, Maternity Leave explored some aspect of Surrealism. The episode continued to have me believe that Lost is Surreal Expression of the Modern Human Condition......MEL

I thought it was an outstanding episode. There was enough island-centric progression to keep me going for a couple of weeks. Lots of new things to digest: Alex, Claire's lost weeks, Dharma Medical Center and Nursery Facility ;), Zeke and Co.'s connection to Ethan.....

Loved the fact that it was a Girls-Day-Out adventure for a change----a nice alternative to all that testosterone being flung about the island lately. I love the character Danielle-----of all the very complicated people on the island I find her the most complex and compelling to watch. She really needs a post-shipwreck flashback. Glad to see Claire acknowledge the pain Danielle is in----I thought Claire showed class and compassion towards Danielle once she realized the truth. I think these two have more in common than they might think----they need an Island-Mommies Support Group! Glad that Kate and Claire realize that Danielle is a victim, not a villain, despite some of the things she's done..... (Mira Furlan is an amazing actress....)

It's fascinating watching Locke slowly lose his grip (like many of the other Losties). The reality he created in his mind for the island is being stripped away by a bigger, badder reality that he is definitely not in control of and it's taking its toll on him. From the moment he entered the hatch, things have been unraveling for Locke. It has actually given me more compassion for him as a human being. (It's also a treat to watch Terry O'Quinn play Locke like this----another amazing actor!)

Ha yeah. They don't seem to understand that without episodes of character development and such, the ones where the islands mysteries are revealed would mean nothing. I mean, why would we care about what's going on in the show with the characters, if we havent developed a relationship with them, as we get to know them through such episodes as "fire and water"

Character development is a very important part of lost, without it, we wouldnt care about the show. People dont like to say it, but its not the islands mysteries that draw them to the show, its the characters.

It was ok. It was interesting to discover what occured to Clare after she was abducted that her memory had repressed. The only thing I found extremely irritating is WHY did Kate have to tag along for every expedition:rolleyes: when her character is completely useless (remember how Jack asked her not to come along in the search party for Michael and she was apprehended by the others for following them). I'm tired with her always having to stick her nose in other peoples business. Danielle should of hit her over the head with her gun.

First let me say... ABC is evil, evil, evil... each week the website says Lost will be on... and each Wednesday it is not & I have to download the ep via iTunes...

Again... if anyone is going to reply... please DON'T SPOIL future eps please... =)

Anyhow...

I thought this ep was really good, overall arc-plot wise in terms of Dharma info... definitely quite a lot to think about... I thought it was really interesting that Kate found the "wild jungle" clothing & fake beard... it shows that the others are going to a lot of trouble to disguise themselves... and my question is why... why cover up the dharma initiative...? I'm guessing the lab rats can't know that they're being experimented on? Who knows... I'm really just guessing... but nevertheless this show is ingenious... and I love that the mystery I felt had become a little too non-mysterious ("The Hunting Party) is back in action...

Drama wise... I wasn't feeling much off this ep... I get where Claire's coming from... but she just always seems a little too "over the edge"... or maybe I'm still pissed at her for Charlie... (who was sadly missing from this ep)

How did Kate, Danielle & Claire suddenly turn into the powerpuff girls? I saw this elsewhere in a thread... but I mean seriously... those girls have a whole lot more courage than I do... I can't believe not one of them said... "uh... guys... maybe we should go back and get some of the others..."

Henry Gale... I seriously don't like that guy... and I'm so mad that Locke fell for that BS... I spoke w/a board member last week about whether Danielle was involved or not... and I can safely say now... that I definitely do not think Danielle had anything to do w/the appearance of Gale... I think he's all on his own...

Now is he an other? I still don't know... On one hand... who can blame him for trying to play Locke... if I were a captive... heck... I'd want out too... but the sly way he played him; it felt "other" like.

Ethan kinda seemed nice in the non-flashback/flashbacks... interesting...

It was the best episode of the season as far as I was concerned.

Kate out exploring, without the baggage of Jack and Sawyer and who she going to play suck face with.

Creepy Ethan being uber-creepy.

I like this episode alot because it gave us another insight into the mysterious others. The medical hatch was a little bit freaky and aarons nursery.....woah. These others are weird.
