Is it not possible that this group of others are living in a Dharma hatch on another part of the island, the main hatch that controls the rest. This is how they were able to control the computer when 'walt' spoke to michael, and they were able to watch everyone in the hatch, this is how they know names, and how they know who had what guns, etc. I think this group of others has alot of information, and they are doing an excellent job of concealing their information. That's my theory at least.

I wondered about that line too. Zeke said it pretty sarcasticly if you ask me. Why did he ask Locke instead of Sawyer of Jack? Maybe Locke set the "black smoke" fire to make our losties THINK the others were comming? Maybe so he could get some help opening the hatch? Zeke seemed pretty ticked off Locke opened it.

They almost have to be at another hatch. I am not convinced that it was Walt speaking to michael. I cannot help but think of the Remote Viewing link on the hanso site. Between that and X-files, it is hard not to believe that this is an ongoing experiment. Doesn't explain the black smoke though - although I'm convinced now that it's mechanical in some way.

A logical reason for Zeke to ask Locke to build a fire would be to make the hunting parties eyes unable to adjust to the dark so they couldnt really see how many "Others" there were holding torches. I personally only saw 2 or 3 people besides Zeke. I dont think there was an "other" for each torch as Zeke wanted the hunting party to believe.

Was locke's other gun hidden? I remember him simply just handing over another gun on his other side. I don't remember him pulling it out of a hidden pocket or anything like that......

Does anybody remember where the black smoke was that Danielle warned them about last season, when Charlie and Sayid went looking for Aaron? I'm talking about what side of the island it was on sense it was on a beach somewhere.....

I would guess that the black smoke was coming from the north. With the losties on the southern part of the island, it seems the smoke was coming from north, as they all seemed to look inland, but this is just from my memory, so I could be completely wrong.
