of all the people on the island jack asked a cop about training an army, wouldn't it be a way better idea to ask sayid. sayid was actually in the military, but ana lucia was just a cop

now don't get me wrong, im sure she could help, quiet a bit, but i wouldnt put her in charge. also i think the army plan is a pretty good one

This has been discussed in a couple of other threads in this forum. Possibilites there range from he did ask Sayid and he refered Jack to AL, to AL has actual experience with the Others.
