I have honestly met a lot of really great people on here. Just a quick summary--I'm sorry if I've forgotten anyone.

I had been lurking, first at the ABC boards and then here for quite a while. What finally drove me to join was (1) that I wanted to share my opinions and (2) I was going crazy. As you guys may or may not know, my boyfriend is in the navy. Being on a submarine, he goes away for stretches at a time and the only communication that we have is occasional email. At the time that I joined, my boyfriend was at sea for a month, so I was feeling all alone. Add to that the fact that I hated my job and I was applying for a completely new career (and not getting many positive responses from companies) AND the fact that my roommate was inviting her friends to come sleep on the couch for months at a time, and I was going pretty batty.

And so I joined.

And in joining, I've found out that NWGraecie's husband is also a submariner. She has graciously opened up herself for me to talk to when the loneliness becomes overwhelming. Just knowing that she's there makes such a difference.

I've also enjoyed climbing through the ranks of this board, and moving from one section of the plane to the other. I've really appreciated all that Hiram_Abif has done in maintaining the 'ships for those levels. He really did make me feel welcome at every stage of the way.

The Chit Chat section of the site has really been wonderful. I've really enjoyed getting to know people better, especially Opheliapain and NOB who are able to think up so many silly things for us to chat about. And I want to especially thank everyone who responded when I was down and said that I need a hug: Prncssleia, NOB, Opheliapain, Traekos, Heidi, goloptious, and bri_nic23.

And I especially want to thank all of the people in the games threads, especially Varda with her amazing imagination, and for introducing me to Jesyca and Mac. Also to bri_nic23, who came out of nowhere and is now a posting monster. :laugh: And anyone else that I've played with. I've had the most fun in the games threads and have passed many hours while I was waiting for my job offer to come in.

Oh, yes, and I have a job offer! I'll be starting at the end of this month, so I'll be here a little less. I will be stopping by on occasion though, just to catch up. Plus, I'll have to feed my addiction. ;)

OK, I'm sorry this is so long. It took me so long to get around to posting in this thread because I wanted to make sure I had time to sit down and thank everyone. If I've forgotten you, please don't feel slighted. I have to say that about 99% of the people that I've met on here have been really amazing.

Funny you should say that ~ I read that originally the part of Charlie was supposed to be for an "aging one hit wonder hippie rocker". But, they loved Dom so much (of couse they would) that they changed the part to be a younger rock star. I believe I read that in TV Guide.

Isn't it funny that we are a bunch of adults and we're like, "So-and-so is great to play with and this person is fun to play games with" Maybe its just me, but I think thats pretty cool. :D No I don't I can do the Jitter Bug, um sorta swing dance, ha I can square dance & I can line dance. See this is what I get for living in South Dakota :P We didn't get to learn how waltz in school. That would have been kewl though I've always wanted to learn. I can also do other kinds of dancing to like slow dancing(not that hard) & the dance you do to hiphop music ;) :P
