First and foremost, it's painfully obvious everyone on the creative team behind LOST just KNOWS how to pull viewer's strings and push their buttons -- not to mention being able to create a compelling, mystic drama.

As for my questions, if you could find it in your busy schedule of creating the best damn show on television:

Boone hallucinated quite lucidly -- enough to make him believe everything happening was real. While it would be easy to dismiss the scene as just that, however, there is a common tie with other scenes that make me, and probably others, question the reality of other events, i.e., The Monster. Numerous theories around are saying blah blah, The Island can manifest things, blah blah blah, the Monster is some inner reflection things, blah blah blah. These gain some credence with Boone hallucinating the Monster. So my first, and least important, question is: Was there a monster on the island in it's current form before the plane that has our now 46 survivors(sans Claire) crashed onto the island?

Next, given that the Island or something on it is causing the discrepencies with Locke's compass, will Sayid and/or others use the compass and follow a path of it's own north? Will it lead to something that's been mentioned before(such as The Black Rock)?

If I was a betting man, and I am, I would wager my left arm that The Hatch Locke and Boone are attempting to open will be opened in two episodes. Would YOU take that action, if you were a betting man?

Many believe the island or "The Others" to be evil. Hold that thought for a moment, and consider this. The odds of surviving THAT plane crash on THAT beach and etc., as Sayid said, should've resulted in the death of everyone on the plane. So one could and should then think and wonder that a force on the island and perhaps the Others had a hand in bringing the plane down, ensuring at least there would be a good deal of survivors. It's been hinted that the title of the show has multiple meanings. Yes, the castaways are LOST, having no clue where they are. If they all are also LOST in their personal lives, facing inner demons and what not, were they brought down on the plane to be FOUND, thus not making the island or The Other's motives all that sinister(except for the whole kidnapping Claire thing for only you and a handful of others know for what reasons)?

I'm all for character arcs and people getting redemption, but say all that's the case. Isn't that a bit of a cop out, a little bit like at the end of Contact where Jodie Foster's character is told by the alien in the form of her deceased father something along the lines of "This is how it's always been done for (thousands, millions?) of years."?

Sorry to ramble... a few times when I start typing, I just keep typing. I can't wait to see the next episodes, and I'll buy whatever DVD's and special editons of LOST comes out. Keep up the good work on the best show on television, the show that even rivals the mighty Soprano's for dominance.

P.S. Was there ever any thought to put this on any other network to allow for more racier themes/language?
