Ok Michael has been missing for quite some time now. He went missing 3 episodes ago and it doesn't look like he's coming back next week either.

Has anyone any idea when he's gonna come back, because judging by whats supposed to happen in the next few episodes i can't see Michael returning till at least episode 2.17.(in my opinion)

I wonder will the losties do anhything to get him back, they've seem to have completly forgotten that he and Walt existed!

Still though its gonna be exciting when/if he comes back, and will he return with Walt?

*grumbles and gripes* Can you feel my frustration yet? :frown: Yes! It's time for Michael to come back already, and if he comes back with Walt that will be even better. For some reason I doubt that's the way it will play out though. It's just a hunch, but I don't think Michael will find Walt until he stops looking for him. That's kind of a hard place for a parent to get to when a child is missing.

According to Kristin, Harold has been on the mainland for about a month. I just hope he wasn't looking for a new job!

So Claire went missing for 4 episodes in season 1. "Maternity Leave" will be the 4th episode after "The Hunting Party"(where michael went missing). It doesn't look like there is any signs of him returning in the next episode or the one after it. I hope he returns before the season ends!

What if Clarie and Kate find Walt in the Hatch they find during Maturnity Leave
Then we would know were Walt is and not know were Mike is

The big question is will Walt remember anything when ever he found

I hope Michael comes back soon, too. And I hate to say it, but during the past few episodes, I forgot that Michael was missing :shy:, with everything else that's been going on in this show!

It can't happen soon enough for me. Michael is one of my favorites, and his being gone is kind of nerve wracking.

I have to say that I have barely noticed Michael missing. I sort of feel bad about it, but with Walt gone, I don't really know what his role will be. Harold was on Jimmy Kimmel a little while ago, so it appears he is still on the mainland, not Hawaii. I don't know if that means anything though. He didn't give anything up to Jimmy. He just said he didn't know where Michael was either. But its not like the actors can really reveal anything anyway. I do wonder when he is coming back and what his future holds.

Wow, it's only been that long?! Seems longer.

This does seem to be a reoccuring theme. No communication between the losties. Maybe they do care and we are to suspect they are talking about this, just not being shown.

So, I take it, the character Micheal was written off for a bit, for the story only. Harold has not asked for some time off that would explain his absence? Any one know?

I agree!!

People haven't mentioned him at all. You'd think at least one person would say, "Gee, I hope Michael is o.k."

what is Michael turns into "An Other" to get Walt back??

I am afraid he will come back an OTHER!!!

Ya like they'll appear out of the jungle. The camera will show everyone's shock reaction! then the episode and series 2 will end. That would be a big cliffhanger!!!!

Well, I certainly hope we get to see something of what's transpiring out there in the jungle before the season finale. I want to see Michael rescue Walt! It would be great because we would get a peek at where they have been holding him and such.

We should see micheal soon and maybe even walt.

On the Official LOST Pocast they said that we will find out what happened to Walt by the end of the season. Still 10 episodes left though.

Same here man. It was a huge surprise to see Harold in the cast, and I'd hate to see him be gone for a substantial period of time, or permanently as could be possible. I doubt he'll return with Walt in tow either - that will come later I suspect (but before the end of Season 2 please Creative Team!!!)

Absolutely! I'm hoping they don't just appear out of the jungle - it's be really wonderful to see Michael's POV, what he's going through - though since the show seems to be structured in "real time" (except the tailie sequence), the more days go by the more nervous I get that we'll never know....

Also, I think Michael has proven to be such a dedicated father - I think seeing him see Walt again would be very rewarding.

Caught that huh? I seem to slip into Lockisms every now and then. They just seem to fit the situations very well.

Yeah, he's just too talented not to use him in some really outstanding way. He has done so much to stay on the show, it would kind of stink for him to leave now. Who else in the cast learned to swim in order to stay on the show?

Well there was also the unusual timeline of the first three epis of season 2. If it's a really important storyline, I think it would be perfectly appropriate to do something like that. Maybe start with him trying to get Walt out of whatever situation he is in, then flashback to some experience he had in the jungle, something that shows us of his struggle to find his son. Another flashback could be something that happened in his life pre-Susan and Walt, which we have not seen yet. Why don't we know about his Daddy issues yet, other than his issues with being one? All we know is that he wanted to name his son for his father. There's an awful lot of story to tell there IMHO.

Just like some people, I kind of forgot about Michael. Everything has been kind of intense on the island. But I'll tell you what, if they ever return, Michael and Walt will never be the same again. Especially Walt. He'll be traumatized over what's happened to him on the island. I hope they'll do an episode on what happened to them though. :5:

Please post the link...I'm desperate! And shootfire, you're just whetting my interest there.

Seriously, there's going to be a lot of great plot when we get back in touch with Michael and Walt...not only the backstory on M, but also whatever it is that's been going on out there while he fights for the really righteous cause that is rescuing his boy...

I'm really aware of how, within the great mystery of the island, how it works, where the others are, what's going on, etc., how important it is to have these contexts that we can all understand and hold on to. I know that however the mystery wraps up, it'll be great; but Michael and Walt are of the few characters left with a life from "before the crash"...I think that's partially why it's hard to be out of touch with them for so long - for me, anyway. Them, Jin and Sun, Rose and Bernard: we can really care about these characters in a different way, somehow.

Alright. that's my evening babble.:ohwell:

I don't think they'll let him go. Surely they realise the talent at their disposal? Adewale as well (another 'Oz' legend)

if they ever return, Michael and Walt will never be the same again. Especially Walt. He'll be traumatized over what's happened to him on the island.

Respectfully, I'm not so sure BC - I tend to feel that Walt will be empowered by what he has been through. If the Walt that appeared to Shannon is actually Walt, and not some constructed/transmitted 'mock-up' of him, then I suspect he knows things that could blow the story wide open. Walt's a very strong character as we've already seen, and the confidence he has already demonstrated in the show, I believe, will stand him in good stead on his return.

Linky! Linky! Pretty please? That's really exciting news.

Please post the link Irish! That would really help identify whether it will be season 2 or season 3.

Yes, thanks Irish. That's good news. I can't help thinking that Michael will have some kind of knowlege about Henry Gale. It seems almost that their paths should have almost crossed as Michael was headed north, and Gale was coming from an area off the north beach of the island. :undecide:

I'd seen your theory in one of the other Michael threads shootfire, about Michal having headed north and therefore probably having come in the opposite direction to Gale. I don't doubt that Michael may have bumped into him. It would seem that the writers are beginning to look at having more

island-based flashbacks

and perhaps that will be one when Michael returns, aside from any revelations about Walt, should Michael have found him.

I think when Michael returns he will be a much stronger person, he will have been surviving in the jungle alone for quite some time so he would have to be. If he has change will that be a good thing though? It will all depend on how the other characters react to his return.

I think it's possible that Zeke found Michael and took him to see Walt, maybe he will manipulate him to help Zeke's cause (whatever that may be, looks like he and his group are trying to continue the Dhama Initiative).

It would be realy crazy if the real others from the East of the island had found Michael but I don't think that's too likely.

goddessblue
03-01-2006, 02:45 PM
I wouldn't be too shocked if Michael was involved in the attempted kidnnaping of Sun, maybe as a way to prove himself to Zeke.

But Zeke had nothing to do with that. That was all Sawyer and Charlie.
