Just had to tell you guys about my dream last night. Lost Series 1 has just finished in the UK so i guess the whole dreaming about Lost thing is some sort of Withdrawal syptem, lol. My dream was about how lost would end; Some of the mysterious questions on the island got answered first off (i.e; "what exactly the monster is, who are the others, etc") then something huge happens on the island, for example, some kind of explosion" and suddenly we see Locke open his eyes. He is looking around and we see that he is back on the plane. He glances around the plane and sees various characters, jack, kate, charlie, etc. It becomes obvious that nobody knows each other yet as the plane crash never happened. We then see Locke give a little smile to himself and all of a sudden the plane starts to shake. The camera pulls away from the plane and into the sky and all we see is the plane making its descent onto the island!" It was like Locke had had a vision of what was going to happen (Just like Boone and the plane!!!).

That was my dream. Some would call it a 'cop-out' but I would find it kinda funny. Im just thakful im not producing lost cause that would be such a rubbish ending! Thank god for the God that is known as J.J and his team, keep up the good work!!! Peace out. PBG xx

Hah. That doesn't count as a theory, but I'd like that ending. I don't think it would be a cop-out since it's not a "fake" dream, rather than something that's actual going to take place.

P.S. I dream of LOST very often as well, but my dreams are usually nonsensical.

Hehe, cool dream. I hope it doesn't turn out that way, since too many shows have taken the easy route in a show's finale and had the whole thing either be a dream, or something equally as cheesy. The only show that did this and made it cool was Buffy, which -- long before the show actually ended -- implied that, perhaps, the whole thing was purely the figment of Buffy's schizophrenic mind and that she was actually a patient in a mental hospital. We never really did find out which it was, but it was a really cool idea to work us Buffy freaks into a theorizing frenzy!

That was a cool dream and if it was true then Boone and Shannon would be alive again:biggrin:
But unfortunately i can't see it turning out like that:frown: how would locke know bout their pasts unless he conjured them up!

I had a dream once about the end of Lost too! All but five characters died. :undecide: And when they were the only ones left (Kate, Sawyer, Sayid, Charlie and Shannon I think), they had finally walked from the jungle out to the beach where they usually live, only they haven't even seen that shore for about 5 or 10 years. Like they were Lost deep in the jungle for years and years. And it was cloudy and stormy, and the original sad Lost theme was playing. It was a pretty emotional and depressing ending, since the others died recently.

But before that it was crazy beyond sanity and reality. Deep in the jungle it was extremely rainy and everyone was running around screaming from something, maybe each other, and when Shannon was trying to run away in the jungle these two people in front of her (Sayid and a twin of herself) embraced each other and melted into yellow and red figures that blew up. She ran past them and then ran into Boone, who didn't seem scared or anything, just annoyed of Shannon freaking out. I think he said something like, "What are you doing, Shannon? Quit running." and then he started to frown a little, and a bunch of sharp, spindly long branch ends lashed at his head in every direction and ripped off skin from his face and head until he had a wolf's head underneath with yellow piercing eyes.

Yeah...I'll bet you it won't end like that. Of course before I went to bed that night I had lots of sugar and was playing around with some 3d program.

But that's a cool dream! At least very sane compared to my ending.

Thats a pretty f'd up dream to be having. The only dream i had was that they found a colony of people living in the hatch and Kate Locke and Jack floated away on a canoe!

I also subscribe to this dream theory, but i do not feel Locke will be the dreamer, in the real world he has very little perception of future events and is easily tricked. It is only when he arrives on the island that he recieves the power to walk and see events before they occur.

I wholeheartedly believe the whole lost series is just a dream inside Hurley's mind.

After all, he is the one who has the most relevant and random connection to the numbers, as well as being the one character who is most central to island life (i.e. he always pops up with a funny anecdote or interlude) and yet has no real serious problems.

His previous life seems funny but absurd and the most unbelievable of all the lives, his bad luck is symptomatic of the drama which befalls the islanders and he seemed to have an unnatural control over events before he was lost.

However, from just scanning this forum for a short while it is clear that there is an immense amount of unanswered questions, to which it is unlikely we will ever know even half of the answers, purely because it will make for boring tedious television.

In my opinion the series will end with Hurley awaking from a dream and catching a plane, only for it to tear apart. A scenario like this will allow for all of the unanswered questions to be simultaneously dismissed as just a dream, as well as present us with the undeniable fact that the events we have lived through will undoubtedely be played out for real and so all sides will be happy. I certainly feel Locke has no overriding power over the plot and it will not be his dream.

What do y'all think about this then folks?
