Hi guys! If your anything like me
you will probably be addicted to LOST. Also if your anything like me you will be pretty annoyed at the fact all these LOST conventions take place in America, not an easy place for Brit to get to. SO WE'VE DECIDED TO TAKE ACTION! Its about time the UK Fans get to see a bit of LOST action. If you want a LOST Convention to take place in the UK, we can make it happen. If enough of us show how many fans LOST have in the UK, surely it will happen. In order for us to show how serious we are, a petition is in order. PLEASE COPY AND PASTE THE FOLLOWING NAMES BELOW AND ADD YOUR NAME BENEATH.
1) Sophie (Co.Durham, UK)
What is it with petitions? They seem to be everywhere at the moment.
First of all Lost is only in it's second season, which hasn't even started in the UK yet so give them a chance to do a convention in the UK.
Second of all, you can see a number of the cast at various other conventions in the UK over the coming months. Jorge Garcia is currently at the Collectermania event in Manchester this weekend. Mira Furlon (Danielle Rousseau) and Ian Somerhalder are scheduled to attend the Collectermania event in Milton Keynes 28 April - 1st May and Jorge Garcia and Maggie Grace are expected at the London Film & Comic Con at Earls Court, London in July.
Oh and is there really a need for such big text? And no I'm not signing the petition.

Actually there has only been ONE Lost convention in America (held in Burbank last June), which was announced at very short notice. I would think that most of the American fans are just as keen as you to have conventions to go to! It's really not so much of a USA vs UK thing.
If you are keen to see a Lost Convention in the UK, then your best course of action is probably to contact Creation (who run the Official Lost Fan Club and as far as I know have the contract for all Lost Conventions). Easy to do, as they have their own board here at The Fusealge (in the Sponsors Section).
What do actually you intend to do with your "petition" from this thread?
If you genuinely wish to gauge the interest of UK Lost fans in a possible Lost Convention, then simply polling the UK posters here will not give you a true reflection, as they are only a very small percentage of the potential audience for any UK Convention that may take place in the future. Setting up an actual petition (there are numerous online petition sites) or liasing with a UK-only fan site might be a better option, as you would be reaching more UK viewers/fans.
I would imagine that Creation are already aware of interest in a UK Convention, as their Official Fanclub and merchandising runs to the UK, and I would think they keep comprehenisve mailing list information so as to market accordingly. I would guess that they might very much like to do a UK Convention at some point - though obviously such would take a great deal of planning and a large ammount of money (and any guests would have to be flown a very long way in order to appear) - so tickets would probably be quite expensive.
Also? Please don't use Giant Font and CAPS for an entire post. If someone has clicked on the thread, they obvioulsy intend to read it - making the size of your text larger (and shouting) achieves nothing extra.... in fact for some it could make it harder to read (it's a lot bolder and brighter on the eyes), and could put people off signing your "petition"... many poster do not like to be "shouted at".

I'd love a UK Lost convention to happen very much but I just don't think a petition would work. In my personal experience they never do lol.
I think we'll just have to wait and see what happens while enjoying the appearances of some of the cast at other conventions later this year - I can't wait for those myelf!!

He is?!!! I got terribly excited then but have checked the website and he hasn't been added to the confirmed quests list as far as I can see. Do you know something they don't?!

It was only announced last week (after he had to pull out of the Manchester Collectermania event) and they haven't updated the website yet.
