I have been thinking for awhile that Sayid is the next person to die mostly because of the fact he isn't really contributing much to the show any more, as of now there isn't much to his background, and he is good wiht machines, now my laugage arts teacher, told me that all good writers knoww that a story won't be interesting if you don't make it hard for the characters. If you look at them, you see they don't that bad. i meab sure the whole Others thing, but have we really seen the Others much, have they come over to them. Not really, the Others aren't touching them, really, so right now, the have this hatch which has food, a washer and dryer, bads, showers. How can that be maing it hard for them? It isn't. Now i am not applying the the writers are bad. ooh no, would i be here right now, on a LOST obbesion website, if i thought the writing on the show was bad? No, i wouldn't. i am just saying that something is going to happen that will make things much harder, and killing Sayid would be one great way.

Well, by that theory killing Jack would be even more difficult. He is the only doctor and the default leader.

I think tonights episode will change the character of Sayid and make him a bit darker. It may bring his personal issues to the front burner. This will make him much more interesting and more of a question mark as far as future actions go. He will be less predictable and so more like Locke and Sawyer when it comes to what choices he will make and who's side he will pick.

Sayid was so involved in Series 1, but in Series 2 he's been in the background. But sure how can we blame him for keeping to himself, he lost the woman he loved. Im sure we'll see more of Sayid in the future!

That would be really weird... if Sayid died next. Think about it. Boone, then Shannon, then Sayid? It's like completely cutting off all ties with that corner of the island.

I agree. Sayid is a very interesting character, and well-liked by Lost watchers for the most part. He is in a mourning period right now, he's been secluding himself purposely, but he will make a comeback, I'm sure of it. But....I DO think that before this season is over, one of the more important characters will die. My guess is Hurley.

Hurley dying would create a very powerful situation. Especially if it wasn't sudden (like Shannon's death). Everyone loves Hurley... but, I don't really think TPTB would do that. Hurley's a lot of the comic relief, especially now that Charlie's having such a hard time. Sure, Sawyer is too.. but it's a different kind of comedy.

I agree that if you cut off sayid you will be cutting of an entire story line! I do however think that someone is going to die before the season ends, but who it is I don't know! I don't think it will be Jack/Sawyer/or Kate, because they are MAIN characters. Who knows.. all just speculation!

Another strange theory: This crossed my mind, though it seems a little out there, but by no means unlikely considering Sawyer's con-artist abilities.....

It's possible that the whole thing could be a long con - a very very long con - set up by Sawyer to steal Hurley's millions. In this case, I don't quite believe it will happen. Otherwise I wouldn't believe that Hurley might be the next to die. But, nevertheless, it's worth thinking about.

Whoa! Very interesting, and far out (in a good way ;)). I've never thought of anything close to that... never seen anyone else say something like that, either. :D lol, wow, I don't know. What a thought, tho...

Thank you for the positive feedback....it's about time someone didn't throw a theory back in my face. there are too many loopholes here though that you have to consider. My mind is tired from thinking about it, but here's one: why would Sawyer stage a plane crash on a "deserted" island just to get Hurley's money? It seems to me that there would be easier ways to go about it. But....he does kinda have a flair for dramatics.

Yes, if you're right then I'm sure there is a LOT more to it. :)

Welcome to the Fuselage, btw, as you look to be pretty new.
