Hi, Carlton. Love the podcasts with you and Damon (though I have to catch up on the last few). My question is:

A lot of people have been talking about the much darker tone of this season. In viewing season one over again on DVD, it's become glaringly apparent how much has changed since then (though it's only been a couple of months for the Losties). There used to be a perfectly-balanced mix of drama, comedy, action and romance on the show; now there's a very dark vibe almost all of the time. Even our comic relief boys, Charlie and Hurley, are changing: Charlie in a much more significant way, of course, but Hurley's hoarding of the food at the expense of his friends wasn't like him, which means he, too, is darkening.

Yes, yes, this is part of the evolution of the mythology and no, it wouldn't be realistic if people didn't start to break down and show signs of PTSD or "the sickness" -- but I can't help but wish for the old days... There HAS to be a way to infuse some more comedy and light-heartedness again, without compromising the integrity of the mythology. Any chance of that happening sometime soon?

(And by the way, too many repeats!!!)

:crybaby:

A LOST junkie,
Heather
