i always thought danielle's kids name alex was a boy
it wasn't until this episode that i realized it was a girl.
then it was confirmed by claire.

plus in THE HUNTING PARTY when Zeke calls out to have Kate brought out he says" bring her out Alex!"

Season 1 was 44 days and they said this season would be about the same timeframe. In season 5 they’d be entering their 7th month on the island. Not knowing if either kid will celebrate their birthday during that 7-month period, Walt will be either 10 or have turned 11 and Alex will be 16 or turned 17. I don’t see a mid teen going for a pre-teen. Perhaps in season 64 when Walt is 18 and Alex is 24 though…

Point well received, Cuttler, but too bad Malcolm will be, like, 18 in real life when he should still be 10 on the show. Come to think of it, I wonder how the writers will make up for the puberty?

Danielle said "they took her, Alex" (in Exodus Pt 1), so it was known it was a girl.

Heck, I have a weakness for Grownup!Walt/Shannon, so I got no room to talk! ;) :biggrin:

Walt/Alex is a cool idea. A few years down the road (in Island time). Kind of a Padme/Anakin thing, only hopefully not turning out the same way, and with less wooden acting.

okay, you kind of have to write this one out for it to work, but if you take the name Walt, and you rearrange the letters to alWt and then you flip the W on its right side, it becomes a capital E, and if you do the same to the t, it becomes an x. What does it mean???? Nothing, just something i came across in season one and have been waiting for a reason to post.
