I was reading with interest about theories about the losties being born on the island and then farmed out to different parts of the world to be brought up and then to have them returned to "serve their purpose".
Then comes the part that Jack keeps saying that no one in the group has fallen sick YET.
Then you consider why "The Others" kept taking the kids in the losties group...
= = = = =
So assuming that most of the adult losties were once brought up on the island, they were either previously vaccinated or have inate immunity. Thus they were the ones who needed to be brought back to continue to serve on the island as they are the ones who will not fall sick.
BUT, those that are born out of the island, like the kids at the tail section... perhaps walt?... Aaron?... or any others who just happen to survive the plane crash but who are not born on the island will be susceptible to the infection. The kids in this susceptible group were "taken" and vaccinated witih the limited amount of vaccines available, while the adults in this susceptible group were killed to prevent the disease from affecting them and possibly causing an epidemic should they escape the island.
What do you guys think?
