You mentioned in one of your posts that the entire group of writers works out the outline for the episode and checks it against the characters' past and your plotted future for them.

Can you tell us more about how you keep the histories and future plot lines of the various characters straight? There is so much detail in the show and in the interconnections, both displayed and implied, that it must be a monumental task to understand the impact of everything that is written into a script! Anything you can tell us about how that's all done? And have there been any near-misses that you can recall ( and tell us about of course!!)?
