Walt said he was reading about when the bird hit the window. I know he said it was Australian, could someone with access check? Otherwise I'll have to wait to get home to my TiVo

I think they're messing with you. A herring is a fish. But there are Herring Gulls (in the US anyway). My recollection is that it was a cuckoo. And I remembered 'red' but when I searched I found a Bronze Cuckoo so maybe I remembered 'color' and that translated to 'red'. But I'm not sure and I don't have it on tape.

Bronze cuckoos do not build nests, they are parasitic and lay eggs in other birds nests for them to take care of, kinda like Brian, huh?

I'll get you mr. Tibbs!

Check out the meaning of red herring.
red her·ring
Pronunciation: "red-'her-i[ng]
Function: noun
Etymology: red herring something that distracts attention from the main issue.

Does that mean Walt is the red herring and this whole walt special thing is just a cruel joke on the viewers. :-\

Did you know that if search for "Mr. Tibbs" and "herring" in Google, you get 59 hits. I bet there's a clue in there somewhere.
