I was wondering if anyone else had thought that maybe Ethan was the son of Adam and Eve (that Jack and Kate found at the caves.)He was kind of nice to Claire ,maybe thinking the others did the same thing to his parents that they were going to do to her. In my opinion, Alex saved Claire because she thought what they were going to do to Claire was what happened to her mother.

I'm not sure we can assume a timeline for them stealing babies. How many times would a pregnant woman or children ever end up on the island??? I am guessing that it is all children in danger... it just so happens that 16 years seems to be the time between the last baby (Danielle's) and the most recent (Claire's).

It is also the only ones we know about. They could have had any number of children kidnapped that we know nothing about between now and then.

Well, Walt and the tailee kids were also taken. I know they don't count as babies, but there's certainly less than 16 years between them. Unless, you know, every 16 years there is a period in which the Others can take as many kids as they want. But it feels like a stretch.

The one thing that sounds interesting is your thought on adam and eve being ethans parents. it could be possible, but then again, it couldn't. But I don't think we'll ever know, you never know, you know? :wink3:

I don't know that Ethan is old enough to have them be his parents. Didn't someone say that it took 40-50 years for the clothes they were wearing to decompose? Ethan looks to me to be in his mid 30s, which means he would have been born 10 years after they died. Unless I'm estimating his age wrong, of course.
