Did anyone else think they saw a tattoo on Jack's back when he got out of the shower?

Actually -- it's probably just my crummy TV screen -- I thought Jack was wearing a sweater... a hair sweater. But I know better than that; I know Jack keeps it clean back there, shaving cream or no.

To answer the question, no, I don't think Jack has a tattoo on his back. Exactly where on his back, and how large of an image do you think you saw?

I didn't notice that but and I'll have to go back and rewatch, did you notice the red rash on jacks upper arm just below his 5 tattoo, i thought that was odd...anyone else see that???

He has a funky tattoo on his arm w/stars on it. Maybe that's what you saw. You see it really well in the first few minutes of the pilot when he's pouring alcohol on his wound.

He does, it's on his shoulder. You can see it in White Rabbit (I think it's visible in the Pilot too, but I can't find a screen cap).

Actually, it is. TPTB said they had a hard time finding a reason for a doctor to have those tattoos, but finally came up with something, and it would be revealed in the last season. So funnily enough, they were able to make it into something substantially groundbreaking to the plot...

Yes, I noticed that as well. At first I thought it may just be sunburn, but Hawaii hasn't had much sun lately, has it? If so, then it may be either a rash or a birthmark. If it's a birthmark, then it would have to have been noticeable previously. Has it been noticed before?

I didn't notice any tattoo on Jack's back, but I would expect him to have a rather impressive scar, after that huge gash Kate sewed up. perhaps that's what it was?

Oh my God, thank you! I was sober and lucid when I swore I saw a black-ish blob on his back! It isn't that I'm trying to whip up some meaning to it all, but I just wanted to know if anyone else saw it. We all saw Jack's back when Kate gave him the stitches, but this didn't seem like the same area.

I'm not screen-cap savvy and a bit of a ludite, so I thought I'd ask.
