OK I know I'm in the minority here because I absolutely hate Boone and most of the other female fans of Lost out there seem to find him the hottest guy around! I thought I found him really annoying before but after rewatching Season 1 I now realse I find him really really annoying and don't think he's attractive at all! Even when he was hanging around with Locke all he kept on doing was asking him silly questions and not appearing to trust him... I mean if you don't trust somebody then 1) why would you hang around with thwm in the first place and 2) Why would you go up in a plane that is about to fall off the edge of a cliff because that person tells you to???? Locke is personally my favourite character and I hate the publicity he seems to have got since Boone's death with been branded as a murderer, mostly by the girls who fancy the socks off Boone. The character wasn't going anywhere, he was boring, far too eager to please because he probably knew he had nothing of his own to offer to the group... the two attempts he made at saving somebodys life i.e. Rose and Joanna ended in failier and it was left up to Jack to come to the rescue. Not only that but when he tried to save Joanna he nearly drowned himself and then didn't give Jack so much as a thank you, instead he went off at him for not saving the woman... had he not gone out in the water anyway Jack would have been able to focus on saving Joanna instead of getting distracted with saving Boone. OK I know that none of Lost is actually real and me ranting here does not make much sense but this is just a list of some of the reasons why I really hate Boone.

That may be your opinion...I'm probably a minority as well because I found Boone amazing because I've always loved Ian and I figured he might not get killed off of this show...turns out I was wrong.

Well said! Personally, I'm glad they killed him because he really didn't bring anything to the show, apart from an annoying, whining, overly self important quality. I couldn't stand how he tried to take charge initially (his attempt to save Joanna, stealing the water etc in TWR). He should've been grateful to Jack for saving him from drowning, and instead he totally started yelling at him out of some warped sense of guilt! I couldn't stand how he kept saying, 'I run a company!' So? Please!

Once he realized no one basically gave him any importance, he started following Locke around. Overall, I found him an immature character with a weak personality. He wasn't bad, or evil. In fact, he probably had some good qualities, only I couldn't see them (or I didn't care! LoL), but he was so DULL and BORING!

It wasn't the actor playing him; he's good. It was the character.

In fact, the show didn't lose a thing by killing of that brother-sister pair, IMO.

I couldn't stand Boone either, but I was a fan of Shannon's, so I was upset when they killed her off. Couldn't wait to see Boone go :) It is quite rare for me to absolutely despise characters on a fictional TV Show... the one has 2. Must be the huge cast, LOL.

Hi there! Yeah, I have nothing against the actor, but Boone (and Shannon until her last 2 eps) were the characters I loved to hate!

I think you're onto something. I think if he & Shannon were a little less snotty from the get go I would have liked them better. But they were supposed to be snotty so...

Yup, Boone is one of the most annoying characters on Lost, with the other being Shannon. I find them much more annoying than Nikki & Paulo. Boone always acted like such an idiot and I don't find characters with low IQs to be that appealing. I alway don't find Boone to be "hot". I can understand how young female viewers might be attracted to Boone but to this female viewer the character of Boone offered nothing of substance.

P.S. It was a total waste of screen time to bring back Boone and Shannon for the Expose' episode!!!!!
