I have been trying to put together a list of the things we know about each character so far, along with any possible connections and some musings about some of the secrets that have been coming up. This is what I have come up with so far.....
DEFINITE CONNECTIONS NOTED SO FAR

Has a military type photo/picture on his wall of what looks like soldiers at night lined up at the top of a hill – very similar to one of the promotional posters for Platoon. Has a plate on a stand on his dresser with a military insignia in the centre (insignia is the Great Seal). Possible Vietnam veteran? Is the right age for the Vietnam War (1957-1975) Too young for Korean war. Told Boone that he works as a regional collections supervisor at a box company. Plays war games during his lunch break at work, with a collegue he calls GL12. Is called Colonel by GL12. Has seen the ‘monster’ and was unharmed by it. Fooled a boyfriend into committing a bank robbery in New Mexico so she could get access to Safety Deposit box # 815 as she wasn’t on the signatory list, although she did have the box key. Has a small silver or grey model DC-3 plane with the numbers 5025 on one wing, that she claims belonged to the man she loved, the man she killed. Knew how to work a farm. Was concerned that Ray Mullen should receive the $23,000 reward for her capture. Has a mugshot picture with the numbers 961136 Harrison Valley (Harrison Valley is in Pennsylvania). Claimed she didn’t know how to use a gun, but in reality has highly specialised gun skills, as shown by her ability to shoot moving targets in non critical injury places. Knew that there were four 9 mil guns in the briefcase, along with ammunition and money. Her plane was in there in an envelope marked ‘Personal Effects’ Told Sun that she was on her way to Bali, that she travels a lot and was looking forward to exploring the island, but ended up on a plane to Los Angeles, and that fell under the category of you should be careful what you wish for.* Kate according to the 'I Never' game, was married for a short time, never went to college, has been in love, never voted, and has killed a man
BOONE CARLYLE – Is currently 22 years old. Seems to be being ‘trained’ by Locke, possible mind control by Locke too. Is the C.O.O (Chief of Operations) for his mothers wedding clothing subsidiary. Claims to be a lifeguard but doesn’t know how to perform CPR correctly. Is Shannons step brother, Shannons father married Boones mother when Shannon was 8 years old and Boone was 10. Boones mother is called Sabrina Carlyle. Father is not around.* Boone was in love with Shannon and had been for years.* They slept with each other on the eve of the flight.

Uses Boones feelings for her to make Boone think she is stuck in abusive relationships to scam Boone into giving money to make the boyfriends go away, when in reality she is setting the whole thing up to ‘get what she’s owed’. Lived in Paris for a year. Lived in St Tropez for a while with a guy who had a little boy called Laurent that hated her. Understands French a bit. Father is dead. Suffers from Asthma but is too vain to let anyone see her use her inhalers.* Slept with Boone the night before the flight, but then made it clear the next day that it would never be repeated. Shannon has a lovely singing voice.* Shannon is also becoming much closer to Sayid in a romantic way.
SAWYER - Is currently approx 36 years old according to the letter. Not his real name, he took the name Sawyer after the guy that scammed his parents, and caused his father to kill his mother and then himself. Says he became what the real Sawyer was when he was 19 years old and owed some people some money, so scammed a woman to get the money he owed. Ended up becoming the man he was hunting. Wrote the real Sawyer a letter to tell him how he destroyed his family. Was living in Knoxville Tennessee in 1976. Bar posters had the dates of Friday January 3rd ( last Friday 3rd Jan was 2003, and 1997 before that), and Friday June 16th (last Friday June 16th was 2000) Is possibly ex military as the guy he borrowed his stake to scam Jessica and David from, referred to them as civilians. Couldn’t go through with the scam when he saw Jessica & David’s son. Knows how to shoot a gun at a moving target. Father is dead.* Sawyer (name may be James), never has been in love, never has married, has had many one night stands, never went to college and has killed a man (and an inocent one at that)* Knows a guy called Hibbs who apparently owes him over a job in Tampa.* Hibbs says Sawyer isn't the killing type.* Had a 'gig' in Atlanta, with Hibbs and someone called Old Man Parks.* Sawyer was conned into killing a guy called Frank Duncan, by Hibbs who told him that he was the real Sawyer.* He wasn't.* It's possible that Hibbs could be the 'real' Sawyer.* Sawyer was unable to shoot the boar because I think he realised that if he did then he would be leaving the baby boar without a parent,* like he was left without his.* Heard whispers when he was searching for his tarp.* The whispers said "It'll come back around" and "It was supposed to be"
SUN KWON nee PAIK – Married to Jin. Her father is an important Korean businessman (possibly korean mafia?) Sun speaks English as she had lessons without Jin knowing. Was planning on leaving Jin at the airport and disappearing. Knows how to use herbs and plants for medicinal purposes. Sun may be pregnant, and Jin may suspect she speaks english. Originally only Michael and Kate knew Sun spoke English.* In 'IT', Sun is forced to speak english in front of everyone to stop Michael beating Jin for allegedly burning the raft.* Sun tells Jin in english that she was planning on leaving him, but stayed because she thought Jin still loved her.* We don't know yet, if Jin understood what she told him.
JIN-SOO KWON – is married to Sun and works for Suns father doing ‘whatever he tells him to do’. Came home covered in blood and wouldn’t tell Sun where it came from, we found out in 'IT' that the blood was from a beating that Jin had given in order to save a man from being murdered. Sun didn’t like who and what Jin had become and was planning on leaving him. Beat Michael up because of a watch that belonged to Suns father – it was a question of honour. Knows how to catch fish with his bare hands. Knows how to prepare sushi and which sea foods are safe to eat. Knew what to do when Hurley got stung by a sea urchin. Seems to understand what people are saying at times so understands some english words.* Was hit in the chest by a rock thrown from a slingshot by 'Ethan'* Jin's father is a poor fisherman, and Jin was so ashamed of him that he claimed he was dead.* Jin was asked to deliver some Rolex watches to business associates of Sun's father in Sydney and Los Angeles, he was planning on leaving Sun's father business once he had done so, possibly staying in america.* Has now 'left' Sun and moved back to the beach.
JACK SHEPHARD – Is a spinal surgeon at St Sebastian Hospital where his father was the Chief of Surgery. Told on his father when a patient died because his father cut through an artery caused massive internal bleeding when he was drunk. Went to Sydney at his mothers request to bring his father back. Father is dead.
MICHAEL DAWSON – Artist turned construction worker. Wasn’t married to Walts mum Susan Lloyd. Went into construction work to help pay for Susan to go through Law School. Lives in New York City. Didn’t want Susan to take Walt away with her to Amsterdam when she was offered a job there once she became a lawyer. Was hit by a car when crossing the road and broke his leg. Had a year of physical therapy after his leg was out of plaster. Knows someone called Andy who gave him the construction work and told Susan about him breaking his leg. Is wary over Locke’s relationship with his son, and doesn’t want Locke to go near Walt. Michael is approximately 30-34 years old.* The 'Flat Iron building' in NYC was the building which inspired Michael to start drawing and designing things.
WALTER (WALT) LLOYD – 10 years old. Possibly known as Walt Porter now after his mother Susan Lloyd married her boss Brian Porter. Brian adopted Walt as that is what Susan wanted, not because he wanted to. Walts birthday is August 24th. Vincent was not Walts dog, he belonged to Brian but Brian told Michael that Walt could take the dog back to New York. Walts mum Susan died of a blood disorder. Was only sick for a week. Walt got annoyed when Brian wouldn’t look at the bird Walt was studying for school and a bird flew into the window glass and died. Walt seems to have the power to make things materialise when he is angry. He was angry with Michael when he was reading the comic with the polar bear in and one materialised. Made an agreement with Liam that if it got too crazy then they would walk away from the band, but Liam broke his promise and became a heroin addict. Charlie became a heroin addict too, and he and Liam were stumbling around Dresden together trying to find a fix the night Liams daughter Megan was born. Liam is now settled in Australia with a child. Charlie visited Liam in Sydney to try to persuade him to reform Driveshaft as they had been offered an 8 week tour opening for a band called Meatcoat. First gig was in Los Angeles. They wouldn’t book Driveshaft without Liam. Was offered the opportunity to stay in Sydney with Liam & Karen and get some help for his addiction, but walked away. Who was also his uncle?* Sayid, has been looking for Nadia for 7 years and* was in the republican guard for 5 years, and has killed a man (on a firing squad he offered to be on)* heard whispers in the jungle when he was on his way back to camp after leaving Danielle.
HUGO 'HURLEY' REYES - Used to fish off the Santa Monica pier with his father as a child.* Told Walt that he is known as a bit of a warrior back home.* Said Charlie shot Ethan 4 times (It was 6, why the mistake?)* Hurley built the golf course when Ethan and Locker found the bag of golf clubs, as he thought everyone was too stressed out and could do with some fun.* Hurley appears on the tv in 'IT' as a lottery winner.* Hurley now owes Walt $83,000 as a result of playing backgammon.* Hurley won the lottery a year ago by using the numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42.* It was the 16th week with no winner, and he is now worth $156 million.* Hurleys father was not around when he won the lottery.* Bad thing began to happen after Hurleys lottery win, grandpa Tito died of a heart attack at the press conference, Father Aguilar was struck by lightening at Grandpa Tito's funeral,* his brother Diego moved back home because his SIL Lisa ran off with a waitress.* His mother Carmen broke her ankle, the new house Hurley bought for his mother caught fire when he took her to see it, He was arrested as a drug dealer outside the house he had just bought for his mother as it was burning down. MICHAEL DAWSON – Artist turned construction worker. Wasn’t married to Walts mum Susan Lloyd. Went into construction work to help pay for Susan to go through Law School. Lives in New York City. WALTER (WALT) LLOYD – 10 years old. Possibly known as Walt Porter now after his mother Susan Lloyd married her boss Brian Porter. Brian adopted Walt as that is what Susan wanted, not because he wanted to. Walts birthday is August 24th. Vincent was not Walts dog, he belonged to Brian but Brian told Michael that Walt could take the dog back to New York. Walts mum Susan died of a blood disorder. Was only sick for a week. Walt got annoyed when Brian wouldn’t look at the bird Walt was studying for school and a bird flew into the window glass and died. Walt seems to have the power to make things materialise when he is angry. He was angry with Michael when he was reading the comic with the polar bear in and one materialised. CHARLIE PACE – Ex bass guitarist for Driveshaft. Has a brother called Liam who was the singer. Made an agreement with Liam that if it got too crazy then they would walk away from the band, but Liam broke his promise and became a heroin addict. Charlie became a heroin addict too, and he and Liam were stumbling around Dresden together trying to find a fix the night Liams daughter Megan was born. Liam is now settled in Australia with a child.
