My theory rests on the idea that, in another thread I brought up the fact that the person with way too much story told at once will be the person to bite the big one, and recently I've learned that Jack is going to have 3 episodes in Season 1. If you ask me it looks like thery're trying to get his story out of the way before anyone elses, plus they did plan to kill off Jack way back in the original pilot, so why not do it this way instead?
