I thought the Dr said there were 22 people on the deck already - meaning Hurley was the 23rd to step onto it. Two died in the collapse didnt't they?

If I'm right about that - that's very interesting, 'cause that would mean that the numbers were affecting Hurley's life even before he encountered Leonard at the hospital!

Did anyone geta screen cap of what the Connect four game looked like? I am wondering if there may be a pattern in the game pieces. I enjoy the subtleties of this show.

The doc told Hurley that the deck was only supposed to hold 8 people, but that there were 23 people in total on the deck. Then when Hurley got on the deck is when it dropped and he killed what was it, two people? I just thought it was interesting to hear the numbers mentioned so obviously like that. Was there any other mention of the numbers that I missed and someone else caught?

uhm... I posted this in another thread... but whne they were playing connect four, crazy guy reciting the numbers kept over emphasizing the number 8. Anyone else notice this?

There were 23 people on the deck. It was built to hold only 8. Which means there were 15 extra people on the deck, and Hurley stepping on it 16 extra people. Can't get anything else out of the numbers from the deck.

After, Hurley, Libby, Jin, Sun and the three redshirts arrive at the food drop, there's a long shot of the whole scene which (as far as I can tell) has 22 people in it.

Which means before the 7 arrived, there were 15 people at the rummage sale

If you count Dave, his arrival, makes the total 23
