No, not me. I'm not even an aspiring actor, just an appreciator. When I first saw you as Merry in Fellowship, I said, isn't that that guy who was in that BBC detective series with what's her name? So I looked it up, and sure enough, that's who you were. Ever since, I've been waiting for our local PBS stations to run the Hetty Wainthropp series again. It doesn't look like they are going to, so when I saw that Netflix had the series on DVD, I bumped it to the top of my queue and watched the first two episodes last night.

I'm glad I ended up seeing the DVD because there was a nice extra on there, a recent (March 2004) interview with Patricia Routledge. She had some very nice things to say about you, including remarks like "impeccable instinct" and "very intelligent".

Looking forward to watching the rest of the series as Netflix gets them to me. Any chance there is an interview with you on one of those disks?

By the way, Merry was my favorite hobbit from back before you were born. Thank you for portraying him so well on the screen. I'm one of those who was really nervous about Lord of the Rings being made into movies, but thrilled with the results.

I hope you discover the Threaded Board here soon, and find some time to come here now and then. As Jorge and Terry have said, "lotta love", and you control how accessible you are here. My Wednesday nights are booked up for the rest of the LOST season. I'm just not available on Wednesday evening, no matter who wants me. Thanks for your part in that.
