We've noticed this saying coming up over and over again. The first time it gained popularity was when Desmond said it to Jack in the stadium. It was later said to Hurley by Dave (His imaginary friend) right before jumping.
But the first time it comes into play in Lost is when Nadia writes it on the back of the picture she gave to Sayid. We find out for sure at the end of Solitary. So feel free to give it a rewatch. It's so easy to forget the past, which is so important if we're going to solve the mystery which is Lost.

There is actually a lot of recurring dialogue in the show now....I think it might be connected to the Character Crosses.

"Don't tell me what I can or can't do!"
"Are you sure?" or "You have to be sure." something like that
"It's your choice."
"What's done is done."
These are a few more off the top of my head, I've been hearing reoccurring dialogue for a long time, also have been wondering about the repeating wounds that are similar, like Locke's leg wounds, Sayid's leg wound and Michael's leg wound.
Many rifle butt to the head type wounds going around too, and the head cut (Charlie from rocks falling, Ana-Lucia from the artist formerly known as H.G.),
the similar face scratch marks in the first season, like little dharma devil fingernails lol,
I'm sure the list is a lot longer when you stop and take a long look...
This was one reason I was beginning to worry that we might end up in one person's head or a shared hallucination, given the time-gaps, and other freak of physics on the islands. If it turns out the plane never crashed, or that the survivors are all really hooked up to IVs and are under medical care in some Hanso hospital I'll be bummed...and will seek treatment in a former LOST addiction support group. *sigh*

I think Locke and Jack both said that, trying to remember where...(when Jack was "knocked out" by Kate to get some rest?)
