Locke and Rose each know the other was cured by (or at) the Island. Bernard knows that Rose says she was cured by the Island and they're never going to leave now.

Are these 3 going to keep these secrets to themselves, and if so, why? Seems like they would be shouting to the treetops about it and letting everyone else know.

Have they promised the Island not to tell anyone else?

I think that they won't tell anyone because they'll look crazy. They don't really have any proof, so they might look a little nuts. Also, Locke's kept his own "miracle" quiet for this long because I think he doesn't want anyone to know his past. He wants to make a new future. Maybe Rose and Bernard are thinking the same.

Good points...I think Locke feels that it's his secret with the Island. He didn't say too much to Rose...he never gives very much info out. Maybe he's not telling anyone else because he wants to be special to the Island.

It seems like the Island has "chosen" to heal people and give people second chances in life. I think Locke figured things out first when he said last season "you have to give up something in order to get something". I'm thinking the price of being cured is to keep your cure a secret. I don't think Locke, Bernard, or Rose will tell anything because they've all witnessed the miracle of the island and don't want things to change.

Or maybe he feels as if he's not supposed to tell anyone. The only person that he ever told ended up dead.

And Rose and Bernard will never tell... man, I could just see the look on Jack's face now. "You're going to stay here??"
