View Full Version : would u like to... Crazy_Crab2000 01-24-2005, 05:04 PM i wouldnt realy like it that much :no2: u would always be fearing for ur life :fear3:. but the hot weather would be nice right now... xenaekes 01-24-2005, 05:36 PM sure would!! that would be an adventure and i LOVE a good adventure!!! i'm like locke, not satisfied with life (i know i am trying to change that!), dream of adventures, i even role-play to take my mind off life! ;D Turnpike Joe 01-24-2005, 05:41 PM Stranded anywhere with Claire and Shannon would be a dream come true. Island Monster or not. Bliss 01-24-2005, 05:47 PM I'd only enjoy it if I knew that I wouldn't be trapped on the island for more than a year and I was unlikely to be killed by "mystery thing" or kidnapped and tortured. Since meeting a terrible doom has a pretty significant chance of happening, I guess I'd have to go with no and stick to skydiving for thrills . It would be fun in theory though. . . MissFreckles 01-24-2005, 06:51 PM In the words of Napoleon Dynamite....Heck yes I would! :lol2: welshmuse 01-24-2005, 08:55 PM but the hot weather would be nice right now... Amen to that!! I spent several hours today shoveling the 27 inches of snow we got this weekend! >:( Anyway, I would totally go for it--I love a good adventure. And if you're gonna be killed, you might as well be killed by a giant scary monster. Cool way to go. dweebus 01-25-2005, 10:20 AM I would LOVE to be there. Except for the monster, that would freak me out, but otherwise it sounds great! :-* Foxglove 01-25-2005, 11:09 PM Normally I wouldn't want to be stranded on an island - I love my a/c and creature comforts too much (chocolate...mmmmm....) However I wouldn't mind it if every day I got to stay beautiful and clean and drop dead sexy like the Lost cast members. :lol2: I've spent two weeks living in tents (with functioning toilets and showers) and I still looked like hell! O'course, if Charlie was there I'd bear anything. ;) dramapunk 01-26-2005, 02:44 AM I would dig it, fighting for survial, grand adventure... EllaStarr 01-26-2005, 02:12 PM YES. but I'm sure that if I was there, (if it was like real life) I wouldnt be that big a fan of it. ;) clairbabydaddy 01-27-2005, 03:43 PM Stranded anywhere with Claire and Shannon would be a dream come true. Island Monster or not. Amen Brother and Ethan wouldn't have taken Claire on my watch >:( CapnHuFlungDu 01-27-2005, 06:19 PM Yes way man, that would be, like, awesome and stuff :punk: :punk: :punk: Cheshyre 01-27-2005, 11:53 PM Yes, provided I had a few notebooks and some ink pens and I could poke people with sticks because that's my favorite hobby. I'd bring my own knives though. Ones I can throw from the blade. I never could throw from the hilt. angelharp42 01-29-2005, 01:39 PM If I had my husband and son with me, abso-freakin-lutely! It's not like I'll miss the central heat and air... I don't have it now! Music would be hard to live without, but then again, I could just wish REALLY hard for my harp, and lo and behold, there it will be! I would have done things a little differently in the beginning, though. Fast Eddie 01-29-2005, 09:04 PM How could anyone vote yes? If you go into the woods, something that may or may not be real could gobble you up. The boredom would parallel Cricket. They're freakin' lost on an island in the middle of nowhere with no hope of rescue. There are others on the island who kidnapped a pregnant woman and tried killing a VH1: Behind the Music dropout. There are polar bears that are prone to the persuasion of attacking fresh meat, i.e., us. There is no South Park. ad nauseum Crazy_Crab2000 01-29-2005, 09:32 PM i think its only girls that vote for yes, cuz they think everyguy on lost is hot ;) Foxglove 01-29-2005, 09:33 PM How did you ever guess?? :lol2: Mmmmm....Charlie..... Fast Eddie 01-29-2005, 09:40 PM i think its only girls that vote for yes, cuz they think everyguy on lost is hot* ;) Ok. Say every girl does think every guy on Lost is hot. Say they'd love to be their to copulate with them. After a long enough time, condoms would run out, and even with other "creative" techniques, one would eventually get pregnant. Then they would get taken by Ethan and undergo a tumultous encounter that they may or may not end up surviving, and could easily perish during child birth. All that for the chance to be with the guys, KNOWING you'd have to compete against Shannon, Kate, Claire, Sun, and some other random people? MaggieGraceIsHott 01-29-2005, 10:00 PM Yeah...I'd be the second Shannon....doing absolutely nuthing...but I dont tan. I take all the back, I'd chill with my boy Locke. minnesotan_grl83 01-29-2005, 11:31 PM No, I don't think I would want to be stranded on that scary island. Not a fun place to be at, but I would enjoy the nice warm weather there and the beach. Pretty cold here! Would love to go fishing there as well...wonder if I'l catch anything though? since some of them are having some troubles. I also wouldn't mind being stranded with Charlie ;) Him playing the guitar and singing would sound me alseep. :innocent:  Foxglove 01-30-2005, 12:27 AM Hmm...Fast Eddie you have a point. I'd never compare to the other women on Lost, even considering the men-to-women ratio. I also skip the tan and go straight to the burn even if I'm only in the sun for 5 minutes...I used to live in Hawaii before but I'd freeze at night (don't ask me why - it was lovely weather all the time). I'm only 5'2 so I wouldn't be a match against Ethans, polar bears or mysterious rampant Balrog monsters. I hate going more than two days without a shower...no, being stranded on a dangerous deserted island wouldn't be much fun at all. Still....if Charlie was there... Cheshyre 01-30-2005, 02:23 AM Am I the only chick who said "yes" that didn't say "yes" because of the pretty men? Any of the other ladies say "yes" for non-pretty related reasons? Anyone? Bueller? angelharp42 01-30-2005, 05:41 PM Um, me! Granted, nobody there is hard on the eyes, but I would go for the adventure, not just the scenery. I already know how I would have done things differently from the start. I'd have established a perimeter, and begun construction on shelters, assigned teams for collection of useful belongings, and so on. I know that they thought they would be rescued, but still... just in case, right? Cheshyre 01-30-2005, 06:41 PM Um, me! Granted, nobody there is hard on the eyes, but I would go for the adventure, not just the scenery. That's what I was thinking. It's kind of like an experiment, really. "How would I cope with this situation?" That appeals to me. Stranded on an island with people you don't know, a nutjob running around in the jungle kidnapping people, and a "monster" that kills people and leaves their bodies in the trees and trying to survive. Now that's a great test of life. Of course, I could be a bit off-kilter since I live in the middle of the Great Corn Desert and corn seems to have the tendency to drive people insane. ;D angelharp42 01-31-2005, 09:08 PM OT, but anyway. Cheshyre, which Great Corn Desert do you mean? Iowa? Nebraska? Illinois? welshmuse 01-31-2005, 09:28 PM Am I the only chick who said "yes" that didn't say "yes" because of the pretty men? Any of the other ladies say "yes" for non-pretty related reasons? Anyone? Bueller? Me too!! I'm a bonafide adventure junkie! Plus, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be attracting too many dudes after how nasty I'd get on the island. At least, without all that TV magic that makes all the women on Lost beautiful and free of body hair. :) Seriously, I've gone on 3-day camping trips and looked 20 times more dirty than the women of Lost look after three weeks on the island. Ophelia 01-31-2005, 09:35 PM Yeah, I'm pretty nasty without makeup...so no guys would hit on me! I'd go just because I would finally be able to be alone...fend for myself...maybe just spend the rest of my life learning the calls of the birds or the ways of the tides. Can you tell I'm a geeky introvert? :P Cheshyre 02-01-2005, 12:21 AM OT, but anyway. Cheshyre, which Great Corn Desert do you mean? Iowa? Nebraska? Illinois? Illinios, smack dab in the middle of the state. Contrary to popular belief, there really are towns and cities south of of I-80. It's not just one big cornfield. ;D Me too!! Isn't that part of the adventure? I mean, it's not really a party until it looks like you've been dunked in a bucket of lard before being tossed into a mudhole. Not to mention the fact that not shaving all the time would be a real time saver. Yeah, I'm pretty nasty without makeup...so no guys would hit on me! I'd go just because I would finally be able to be alone...fend for myself...maybe just spend the rest of my life learning the calls of the birds or the ways of the tides. Can you tell I'm a geeky introvert? :P I dunno. Sounds like a good enough plan to me. Though I'd probably spend my time throwing knives and learning the way of plants instead of bird calling. As for the guys hitting on you, don't underestimate them. ;) TRoss 02-01-2005, 12:49 AM In the words of Napoleon Dynamite....Heck yes I would! :lol2: Yes, but do you have numchuck skills?! It sounds glamorous, but I remember having this fantasy of walking through a stream in the forest, but when I actually got the chance . . . . . .the water was freezing . . .the rocks were cutting up my feet . . .I almost killed myself slipping on the moss everywhere Hence, the appeal of "fantasy" over "reality"! ;) |
