Don't misunderstand, I totally enjoy both Jack and Sawyer.
Just once I would like to see Sawyer not attempt to waste Jacks time. It's getting old to me.
Everything Jack trys to do, he has to fight with Sawyer to get what he needs. This has been goin on sinse the begining of the show. Even if Sawyer doesn't have it, as in the case of Shannons inhaler. He still wasted time by letting him think he had it.
It looked like Sawyer was prepared to make a stand with guns tonight. Only this time Jack didn't need it.
It's no wonder Jack has no use for Sawyer. He is like this wall blocking his path. Everytime he thinks he is over it, the wall reapears.
Then Sawyer has the nerve to look taken back when Jack blows him off.

Just taking a wild guess here..but could the gun Jack and Kate took with em... be the gun that Charlie handed to Sayid...? In wich he then turn over to Jack and the Not-Henry Guard detail in hatch? Ana who wanted that gun at the balloon trek, didnt get it, but was later given it from Jack as she was watching Henry... and she then hands it back to him before him and Kate takes off.

I suddenly realized how Jack may plan to get the guns back... by using Charlie.

Since Jack as a doctor often checks up on Aaron, and interacts with Claire.
He can change her opinion about Charlie. Charlies situation with regard to Claire may thanks to this be solved over time.

Maybe this can be the right incentive to Charlie. So its a tradeoff. Jack mends Claire's view of Charlie...Charlie gives Jack the guns...everyone wins...except Sawyer. Who took all the guns and the meds in the first place. And voila! Sawyer has no more guns.

And Jack stays true to his word. Once he wants the guns... he gets the guns.

Suddenly Sawyer looses his influence...and goes back to play that nice good boy again.
An example of Jack using his influence over both Charlie and Claire to restore things.

Might also affect the Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle... did i hear "re-setting characters ?"

Jack showed Sawyer up in this episode. I really like how Jack is starting to take control of situations again without being so overbearing. And Sawyer.. they set us up to start liking him until The Long Con where they ripped the rug out from under our feet.

I'm interested to see where this is going to go. Sawyer has the guns, but it's not really doing him any good right now if Jack can get one otherwise.
