I thought the same thing. He looked puffy or swollen.

Yeah... he was obviously running (or pretending) from something.

I was concerned about that also! He looked almost as if he was tossed into the "line" area with Jack and Kate. I didn't think he was running, it was almost as if he was knocked out and being dragged into the area.

His lips were dry. Dehydrated?
Just in case...Maybe he was captured, beat up, and lead to where Kate and Jack were, like to be released. He was pushed into that area.

i really hope that when the next episode comes out, they show some back clips of michael being with the others and how he got to where he ended up with jack and kate. sad thing is...i have to wait 2-3 weeks to see what happens....:msn-cry:

It is weird that Michael would suddenly appear out of nowhere holding a torch in the condition he was in, seems suspicious.

It almost seemed like the others were making their own trade, as Jack wanted. Although instead of getting Walt, they get Michael & I'm sure he'll have some stories to tell!

Just rewatched the episode via itunes, he definitely looked drugged/discombobulated. Just coincidence that Claire looked pretty much the same when she returned? Maybe Rousseau's daughter helped Michael escape too?

That's a good comparison, though I don't think Claire looked swollen (other than her belly!). I wonder if Michael will remember anything when he gets back or forget everything like Claire did..

The others might have enough decency to not abuse a pregnant young woman, whose baby they want. Michael, however, is just an obsessively persistent nuissance. They would probably enjoy thrashing him.

I found it wierd he just happened to be let free and come back i mean just seems strange i think the others planned this and let him go telling him to bring the survivors to a location and in return they would give him Walt back or somthin like that just seems a little to staged.

Only Goodwin killed one of the tailies, wringing his neck just like the chicken. As for the other tailies, we don't know for certain that they were killed. Maybe they took them to broaden their gene pool, just look at (not Henry Gale) or Zeke...Inbreeding???
