I'm probably wrong here, but I am under the impression that the only thing it heals are diseases. The kid in the crutches that they showed probably had polio or something like that.
And yes, I am saying that whatever was wrong with Locke that caused his paralysis was caused by some kind of disease.

I guess we don't know yet. But there are crutches and a wheelchair in his office and on the bulletin board there is a letter that says "look no crutches"

I still think it is a possibility. It is hard to tell if the show is going to continue to have past connections between the survivors or not. Personally, I think we will get many more.
