I know the Tail section answered one distress call, but I don't remember who was on the other end when Boone tried.
They said "We're the survivors of 815."
Please help.

It was in "The Other 48 Hours" and it was Bernard who answered Boone only to be slapped down by AL for talking to him...hope that helped..

We all knew what the poster was talking about though.
In Deus Ex Machina, the invisible party we assume is Bernard says what sounds like "... survivers of Oceanic flight 815." In The Other 48 Days, Bernard says "We're the survivors of flight 815." What's the obvious difference? The first says "Oceanic". The second doesn't.
So either there's an error, or Bernard wasn't communicating with Boone.
My guess is an error, but... thoughts?

Considering the rest of the conversation is identical (other than the voice on the other end not being Sam Anderson), I'm fairly sure it's supposed to be Bernard.
I mean, Cindy makes three slightly different "fasten seatbelt" announcements in the three flashbacks in the pilot. We do assume that Jack, Charlie and Kate were all on the same plane, right?

Well, obviously they hadn't cast Sam Anderson a year in advance yet...
