Okay.. when Claire went to the physic he told her to only raise the baby by herself that no other man could take the babies place? At this point the first time she went to visit him he didnt know nothing about the flight. And we know Claire went back again. During the time that she was gonna hand over her baby to somebody else the Physic MUST have predicted one of the losties future, this is how he could see the future in their hands or however he did it! So when Claire came back he knew that he had to get her on that flight
so she could be killed and her baby aaron will never be able to grow into something viscous and maybe the physic knew that if she didnt get on that plane she would have fell in love with someone in Austraila. And maybe the Physic saw Claire dieing ie: Ethans kidnapping, but she got away and maybe he just couldnt see so far into the future because whom ever he was predicting they had to go, leave or something else?
