Do you think Danielle doesn't want to be rescued anymore? After all she hasn't stopped sending the distress signal, yet she doesn't want to join the survivors of the crash.
I just find it odd she wanted Sayid to stay with her. (The having someone to talk, touch speech) She had an opportunity to be with others, maybe even protect them. Why did she decide to stay by herself again?

Maybe she is an excommunicated "Other", because of her murderous tendancies.

Good guess.
Do you think the "others' are not able to see each other?

Maybe not! Or maybe she doesn't know how to get to their underground hideout.

Do you think the latch and their hide out are related?

She doesn't control the location of the distress signal, "The Others' do. Or at least according to what she told Sayid.

She didnt want to join Sayid and the rest of the survivors out of fear that they would get "infected" like the rest of her crew and have to resort to murder again.

I'm not sure that it isn't just a simple case of after having been alone for so long Danielle just isn't comfortable with the thought of being in a large group of people. One or two would probably be fine, but the thought of a group of 40 or so would likely be overwhelming to her.
There's a comfort level in staying in that little dugout where everything is familiar and she has all of her belongings around her. If she joined our plane crash survivors she'd have to trek all that stuff halfway across the island.

Agreed, she was very clear when she told Sayid to watch the others very closely. She also wasn't thrilled about getting rescued and seemed to fear the "sickness" would spread if they left the island.
