View Full Version : Another alternative for Michael's behavior...

Ok - I agree that Michael could have possibly been brainwashed by the Others. His behavior was off and he was acting rather "unusually" (to put it mildly).

However, watching it (again and again and again) I noticed that his teeth were chattering. I've heard that this could be sometimes a sign of a drug addiction (esp heroin). So here goes my theory:

The Others found him and bonked him over the head and knocked him out cold. They brought him inside the hatch and grilled him about his plane pals. To coerce the truth out of him, they shot him up w/ heroin. Or maybe they shot him up with heroin to get him addicted knowing this would be sufficient motivation to get him to do their bidding? Anyway, they say that he can get Walt back and another fix if he goes back and gets El Creepo Henry out of the hatch.

I think it would explain the motivation and the teeth chattering. Plus his lethargic state and seeming a little "off".

I apologize if this has been posted (or similar theory info) - I've been trying to read the other posts but the server is too busy to let me in most of the time! So I am seizing the opportunity and posting this now! :)

Eeee... no. i don't think so.
for one thing, heroin is hardly a 'truth serum'.
secondly, making someone into a heroin addict is hardly insurance that they will do a competent job of carrying out elaborate plans, that already have various possibilties of going horribly wrong.

the heroin theory is just a little too far fatched

as for the teeth chattering, it is much more plausible that it was due to insupressible fear, manifesting itself through involuntary madibular muscle spasms, than drug addiction.

i much enjoyed the "El Creepo" bit, though.

I think he just made a deal with the Other's to exchange Not-Henry or the Lostaway's guns or etc for Walt.
