View Full Version : Lost is 6 degrees from Kevin Bacon

As you probably have already guessed, this is a horrible exercise in determing how our Lost friends can be connected to Kevin Bacon. To be inclusive, this is the rule:

1 person will start out with a name on Lost (actor, writer, producer...anything)
the next person to come along will have to link that person to someone else
and so on
until the goal of Kevin Bacon is reached.

Therefore and forthwith, I will start.

Because he's been the topic of the LB for hours on end, we will start with Dom. How is he 6 degrees from Kevin Bacon? Let us count the ways.

(PS) if you want to get someone stuck, that's cool too. And it can take more than 6 degrees, etc. I ain't stingy about the stinkin' rules! :)

Okay, I give up I'm too slow >:(

I have two ways to connect to Kevin Bacon in like two or three step from Ben alone and Ben in a Kevin Smith film. But als, I am too slow in posting

Kevin McCarthy was in Looney Toons Back in action with Steve Martin.

ETA: Bwahahahaha!!! Here I am upset my plans were foiled and people can get to Kevin Bacon from Steve Martin. I'll let someone else post it. Anyone want a hint?

Billy Boyd was also in LOTR....

Nanse
01-28-2005, 03:47 PM
Well, I'll finish up Terri O'Quinn

Mr. O'Quinn --> Jennifer Garner --> Ben Affleck --> Kevin Smith --> Kevin McCarthy (by name) ---> Steve Martin --> Kevin Bacon in Planes, Trains & Automobiles

You also could have gone Ben Affleck to Mogan Freeman to Tim Robbins to Kevin as well.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Billy Boyd huh?
He was in Master and Commander with Russell Crowe
Let's try it with HAROLD PERRINEAU too!
Nanse
01-28-2005, 04:54 PM
So, can I do a whole chain, because I've got one for Harold Perrineau all the way to Kevin Bacon
GrlNmdSpke
01-28-2005, 07:07 PM
go for it nanse!
backgammon, that is some massive movie knowledge....or did you cheat and use imdb?
Nanse
Harold Perrineau --> Laurence Fishburne (Matrix: Revolutions) --> Kevin Bacon (Mystic River)
JorieJC2
y'all are slick, that's for sure. Maybe we should make it harder somehow....
Maybe we should just allow people to do one link,and then they have to wait 2 links before they can come back. That way people can jump in and make it a bit more ......... well, varied :) :laugh:
Nanse
Probably a good Idea. ;D
Okay, I'll put this easy one out there for someone else to feel the joy of getting a connection:
Matthew Fox ---> Neve Campbell (Party of Five) ---->????
Go for it!
JorieJC2
01-28-2005, 10:17 PM
Neve CAmpbell was in...Wild things....with Matt dillon.
does that help? lol.
AND Matt Dillon's haberdasher's sister, Hermione, used to get her oil changed at a Ventura Boulevard Shell station where Robin Williams's former nanny's gardener Hector bought gas, usually from a teenager named Lance, who was friendly with the late Phil Hartman's dermatologist, Dr. Sidney Bluthman.
How this relates to Kevin Bacon should be obvious.
I got one...
Dominic--> Orlando--> Johnny--> Conchata Ferrell (My cousin) --> Kevin
SO there...
Let's work backwards this time, from Mr. Bacon...
...to former Pittsburgh Steeler and current football radio announcer Jack Ham... to William Shatner, who's a ham in everything he acts in... to Leonard Nimoy, who probably eschews both bacon AND ham... to Kirstie Alley, who once played a Vulcan and who's now, let's face it, a porker... to John Travolta. by way of their hammy shared "religion"... to John Forsythe, who once owned some trotters of his own... to his co-religionist (real one this time) uh, well, why not.... Natalie Portman, a fox if ever there was one... which relates to both Matthew Fox (name) and Evangeline Lilly (shared foxitude).
There. Easy.
Nanse--I think I've got this one. If I remember correctly, didn't Kevin Bacon(and his bacon :laugh: :angel:) make an appearance in Wild Things? So your chain would be Matthew Fox ---> Neve Campbell (Party of Five) ---->Kevin Bacon(Wild Things). You were right there, Jorie ;).
JorieJC2
02-15-2005, 09:37 AM
LOL! Well said, Bliss :) Kevin Bacon's bacon...ha ha ha. That's a totally DIFFERENT game...and rated NC 17 too...yowzer.
Bliss
02-15-2005, 08:29 PM
Jorie-- :lol2: ;)
Well, I guess I should start another easy one. . .
Dominic ---> Viggo Mortensen (LOTR) ----> ???
JorieJC2
02-15-2005, 10:49 PM
Now Bliss, you're gonna say that this is an easy one, and I won't get it, and Ima feel sooooo dumb :laugh: There was some really weird role that I saw Viggo in but I can't remember what it was. I'll bet it would be awesome for this game though. I'm thinking he was a cowboy...but it wasn't hidalgo. Hmm. Weird.
Bliss
02-16-2005, 01:30 AM
Psst, Jorie. I just said it was easy to preclude someone saying it was too obvious ;). I can do it in three but it's a pretty obscure link unless you're a Viggophile :laugh: . If you remember anything else about your movie, I may be able to help jog your memory ;D .
JorieJC2
02-16-2005, 09:25 AM
Gah, I wish I could. I'll have to ask my mom because she was the one who noticed it was him. It was a really bizarre role. Argh. Or I could look at IMDB. But then that would be cheating. But then if you don't know whether I went or not....well, you wouldn't know! Right!
Do TV shows count in this? My friends and I play by different rules every time we go at it, so I just wanna know :S
Nanse
Jorie-- :lol2: ;)
Well, I guess I should start another easy one. . .
Dominic ---> Viggo Mortensen (LOTR) ----> ???
Got it!
Dom -----> Viggo (LOTR) --------> Demi Moore (in G.I. Jane) -------> Kevin Bacon (in a Few Good Men)
JorieJC2
02-16-2005, 08:27 PM
Nice one Nanse. Thanks for pulling my butt out of the fire. G.I.Jane seems to be coming up a lot in conversation lately. .Very strange.
Bliss: The movie I was thinking about was Witness of all things. Viggo plays one of the Amish guys at the barn raising, funnily enough. So, not a quiet movie, but a very strange role :)
Bliss
02-17-2005, 07:38 PM
Green Queen--Tv shows count :)
Nanse--You're so good at this that you did actually make it easy. That's not the one I was thinking of *smacks forehead*
Jorie--Oh,so it was Witness; I was trying to think of a movie where Viggo had played a cowboy(besides Hidalgo) but I can see the similarity. I mix up amish men with cowboys all of the time--they both wear hats, depend on horses, live in rural settings,etc. ;) ( I add that I'm just gently joking with you*since posts don't always reflect the humor intended* :laugh:).
JorieJC2
02-18-2005, 09:17 AM
Hi Green Queen!!
Bliss: LOL I KNOW! Aren't I a do-do :) As soon as my mom said witness I thought, "oh for crying out loud, that wasn't a cowboy hat." You are right to mock me a *little* :) heehee :) But now the real test is can we get to Kevin Bacon from there. Something is telling me Harrison Ford could prove useful...I'm just not up on my Kevin Bacon movies, fortunately or unfortunately :)
JorieJC2
02-18-2005, 11:30 AM
test?
Bliss
02-19-2005, 02:45 AM
Jorie--The Kevin Bacon movies part is my Achilles heel too :D. Thanks to Nanse's last post though we can use Harrison although Nance probably has a more streamlined version :laugh: .
Dom--->Viggo(LOTR)---->Harrison Ford(Witness)---->Greg Kinnear(Sabrina)------>Jack Nicholson(As Good As it Gets)
----->Kevin Bacon(A Few Good Men)
Umm, Malcom David Kelley---->Denzel Washington(Antwone Fisher)------> ?
