Bug - need help - please.

I get to level 6 and get a brain freeze. I go in circles. I know there's a trick to it. I used to play Chip's Challenge and was fairly good at it but this darn bug has me stumped at level 6, how embarrassing :redface:

Also, can we save our level or do I have to start back at level one each time??? I do this at work you see, so there's much repetitive play here and I would like to just carry on from where I left off........... (I know - my bad)

bwahaha! I think Bubble Trouble is my all time favorite, but I must have reached the limits of how good I actually am with that. can only make significant progress on 15 if I have the little laser thingie to get the easy combos.

I have never managed to get through the stupid cacti level on the Balloon Bomber thingie. I always get one or two stuck under a cactus branch where I can't reach them, even if I hold out for the big bombs.

I also like mahjong--not that great at it, but I can play it at work. I HATE the ones that have no pause button. hehe. I also hate the ones where the mouse can wander off the screen and all of a sudden you can't control anything.

oh, and on some of the casino games, I can't submit scores, but you guys seem to be able to? do you have to do something other than just click submit, or does Karri think I have a problem and has set my permissions accordingly? ;)

alas my quest for a 300 on Bowling Master and 30000 on ant burner will have to wait until I get back from Cali, as I seem to have no games mojo whatsoever today. hehe.

I've only gotten past level 15 once in Bubble Trouble (the lvl with the 2 walls, big red & orange balls on the outside and smaller yellow between). The next level, once you hit the balls, if you don't get them all they start rolling!! I died quickly. Instead of getting hit on the head, I got rolled in the feet. :huh:

I have that problem with my scores not submitting sometimes, too. It makes me insane if I've beaten the score or raised my own!! Usually a reboot takes care of the problem.

You and I have been going back and forth with bowling master the past few days! You are a worthy opponent!! A perfect 300 would be....well....perfect. :biggrin:

Carency....you're ant burner score astounds me. I have tried many times - which i find difficult cause it hurts me eyes to play :laughing: - but i can barely get 10000. Those little critters are flying back and forth!
And i have had the 'score will not be submitted' message many times, and it seems it's always at a very inopportune time :pissed:

Bubble Trouble has only recently become one of my favorites, but even more recently one of my more disliked, lol. I can not do any better than 60k-ish. No matter if i have all my lives left when i get to level 15 or not.....it's usually a quick death for me at that point.

hehe. for ant burner, not really sure what the trick is, but i do much better on my work computer than on my lappy at home, even if i use a mouse. guess a nice high res monitor helps to spot the ones i have a chance at getting.

on bubble trouble, has anyone gotten the game to advance after level 16? finally got through it and was all excited, but it didn't move on, just timed me out after i had gotten all the bubbles. twice. :( cause in that case, I'll get higher scores by wiping out on 15! There are a couple of tricks with Burgertime which I happened upon accidentally while playing, but of course I can't tell you what they are, or I would have to...you know.;)

Strangely, I found 16 easier than 15. I have lots of trouble with 15 if I don't pick up the laser very early on. The only catch on 16 was timing my shots so I could hit the rollies and still finish in time. Shoot just before it gets to you and scoot to the side, it'll take it out. Much easier with the barbed shot but can be done with the regular, and you're totally screwed if you pick up the laser so...don't. :D

omg, I would never have figured out why the orange ball was disappearing. thanks. that little glitch makes me very very angry! to the best of my knowledge, nothing has disappeared in that way on #16, but I could have missed one while I was watching the other.
as far as scores, my one really high one came in a game where I picked up lots of extra lives on 15, and the one with the single big red ball. it seems my scores are higher though when I get hung up on 14 and 15 than when I get through to 16 quickly. 16 is not a high scoring round, alas. and of course it reduces my score if I have an attack of the stupids and wipe out on level 6 or 7. :)

There's a glitch on level 11 (I think that's the one - with the tiny balls bouncing high) as well. Where I've gotten them all, but the time just runs out. Can't figure out what is is, yet, though.

It's a pretty annoying game since it just ends at level 22, and you have to keep running into the walls in order to get the game to end

hehe, I just can't figure out what it is that I am actually supposed to do. I have sort of figured out what not to hit, and can occasionally shoot something, and every now and then I've gotten a power up, but overall i don't understand the game. it doesn't give much in teh way of instructions!

I suppose this is somewhat less chit-chatty, but I've asked Karri and Artie to check into the glitch that is messing up tournaments such as Island Mini-Golf where the low score is the winner. Apparently if someone doesn't actually play, they can submit a score of 0, and the software doesn't know that a 0 score isn't a real score and is advancing these people over the actual best players.

And for those of you who are trying to make this happen on purpose? yeah, it's just a message board arcade, but if you can't play fair, why play at all? I do have the ability to disqualify people from tournaments before rounds are completed, and I have NO problem using it on those of you who are messing with the game this way (or asking another mod to dq if it would affect my standing in the tournament).

I did it on the Golfing one by accident... I got stuck on a whole and I was 150 strokes up and having no fun so I cancelled the game and somehow got through... twas an accident... its no fun winning by cheating, kids! Your only cheating yourself!

oh yes...no worries. any of us can do that on occasion if our browsers go kerflooey as well, and the game probably wants to take the 0 rather than the real score. but it's rather obvious when someone has done it over multiple rounds in the same tourney, and then again in multiple tourneys.

So, what's the deal with Jigsaw Monkey puzzle? I keep getting lower times and not advancing. Is it like that for everyone?

and the FieldGoal tournament continues to hold EricGunn and me prisoner...I think we're at what, seven days and counting? heh. we both managed to put up a 1750 (I've actually hit 1750 twice now), and each time it hits 3 games for each of us at 1750, it resets to 2, and we both have to play again as a tiebreaker. Only neither one of us can break 1750 in the tournament! I think we've cycled through what, seven or eight times now? I just put up a 2300 on my warmup game...and then a 1200 in the actual tournament. talk about cracking under pressure!

a quick note for those playing the approximately 40000 tournaments currently running...if you see a tournament where both players have completed all of their games and the software hasn't advanced the winner to the next bracket, please send me a PM and I can usually force the advance. the software seems to be balking a lot lately -- I think I manually advanced four or five just today.

also, again provided that the software cooperates, the glitch that advances 0 scores in the golf tournaments still has not been resolved by vbulletin, so I will be disqualifying 0 scores if I catch them in time. It is possible to cause this to happen by accident, but since it's also possible to do it on purpose, and people were exploiting it awhile back, it's only fair to advance the person whose score can accurately be determined, because I can't remove just an individual round, and once you have a 0 it won't store any of your other scores. I am still trying to figure out how to do it once someone has completed all of their games.

ETA: there is a 'replace' functionality which may allow me to replace someone who advances due to the glitch with the opponent they "defeated". i can't guarantee that it will work until I get a chance to try it though.

That sucks though! They may want to make a note of that on the page where people sign up for memberships.
