1. It really is a whack psych experiment going on in there! However I won't go so far as to say it's the pushing of the button. Something tells me it goes deeper down the rabbit hole than that.
2. Hatch finding competition score: Locke-2, everyone else-0. So Locke, I guess technically Boone, found this second hatch within days of each other, but were totally clueless. I laughed so hard when he asked Eko "may I" looking like a kid in a candy store about to dive into a barrel of sugary goodness. And oh man do I want to know where those vaccuum tubes go to. Since it's the surveilance station could the security system be controlled from that location? On the map pracically halfway between the swan and the pearl is noted as being the primary nexus of cerebrus activity.
3. Re: The blast door drawing: The Pearl I don't think actually is the ? station they were heading to find. Also, I'm thinking whoever drew the map, or decided to draw it on the blast door as opposed to any other perfectly good easily accessible wall/floor/ceiling did so because they knew about the cameras - at the very least, possibly even about the pearl station, prior to setting out on his/their surveying adventures.
4. The new video: Marvin Candle/Dr. Wickman the bad twins? or just simply a way of disguising his true name, which if that is the case I'm going to go out on a limb and say whatever orientation videos pop up in the future he will have a different name in each. What I thought was most interesting was that the tape it was on looked like a tape used in the editing stages - as opposed to a VHS or something, or even film. Also, Candle looked much younger in this one compared to the swan orientation video - AND it looked like it was filmed pre-swan video - I would guess mid-late seventies... The pearl orientation film is what I'd expect to see on the reel and projector, and the swan film on that crazy looking casette.
i need to go rewatch again - hope this isn't a repost of everybody else's thoughts I've been so caught up in the lost experience forum I kinda forgot about the episode forums! so much catching up to do!
