Eko says that the question mark is like "a target" from the air. Leaving aside that
the plane was hanging in a tree before and is now in a clearing, what significance, if
any, is there that this plane from Africa just happened to be found right over the
question mark (and The Pearl station)? Coincidence? If not, why there?

Well technically it was found in the tree canopy hundreds of yards above. It is a l'il confusing though. When eko said it looks like target, i thought he meant for the drug shipment but that doesnt play into anything we know saw far. it is however coincedental that the same drug plane carrying shipments of heroin is brought into the fray again in the same timeframe as the actual shipments of heroin, used to aleviate libby's suffering, possibly preventing her from fingering her assailant.

I think the only real significance here is the fact both Locke and Eko had a dream that lead them to the same place. Only difference is Boone died when Locke was chasing his dream.

Yes, The drug plane crashed at the top of the cliff, not the "target". If indeed it is a target, it wouldn't have been there for supply drops since people were only there for a few hours at a time before they were to go to the ferry.
Maybe they were/are being ferried by helicopter. :undecide:

It was noted in a seperate thread that the Pearl hatch could not be opened from the inside. So, if this top hatch is the only way in or out, once your'e inside, you have to wait for someone else to let you out.
I have a feeling the circle had nothing to do with the hatch. Just a hunch.
