Was just thinking that it'd be interesting if Sun started to move into a more semi-villainess role (perhaps becoming more like her father) and her relationship with Jin subtly changing (Jin becoming more like her her husband/henchman, doing the same kind of work for her that he did for her father).

Just a thought.

Sounds sexy cool cbikle. Better yet, how about Sun and Kate working together to bring mayhem to the Losties.

Hmm. Actually, I don't see Sun causing mayhem for mayhem's sake.

I saw it as more as a reaction to a sudden change in the Losties' group dynamics, like Jack suddenly being out of the picture and everyone flocking to Eko for leadership.

Overall, Jack was pretty stable and was a very positive influence on the castaways, but Sun's pregnant now and might be a little alarmed at the notion of the group being led by someone else who had different views on things.

In other words, the Others would be less likely to get ahold of her kid, with Jack in charge.

Also, I didn't see a Sun-Kate relationship so much as a Sun/Sawyer business relationship (brokering goods, etc).

OK, I agree with you that Sun and Jack have a good relationship, that Sun and Sawyer could have a successful business venture, just so long as Jin still catches fish (although this would stop once they learned of Sawyer's involvement in Sun's attack), that Jack would be good to have around when the baby finally arrives?
However, I don't think that Sun would be in any more danger with Eko in charge. Eko did baptise Clarie's baby. Jack and Locke have been manipulated by Sawyer into losing their weapon stash, and believing Michael's lies. I think Eko, with his uncanny ability to see through peoples' lies, is what the Losties need right now in a leader.

You may be right, but I disagree.

From the get-go, Eko has shown a tendency towards using violence to solve problems (even in his flashback, he did this when he shot the old man to get his little brother off the hook). Up til the last episode, he's shown restraint in hitting people, but that intensity was always there.

I think that dream (with his brother in it ) caused Eko to go crazy and I suspect that pretty soon his violent and spiritual sides will start to merge into something pretty scary.

It would be cool...but I like Sun the way she is now. Which is nice, sweet and a little sneaky side to her. She looks like she has a lot of secrets too. But I can't see villainess. Creative idea though.

In West African culture, specifically in tradiaitonal Nigerian culture, it is believed that dreams are a medium in which people who are far away or even no longer with us can communicate with us.

For Eko to have a dream where his brother came to him trying to help, contrary to making him crazy I imagine it would have been a great comfort to him. He would have heeded any warnings and taken any advice very seriously.

Eko would make a superb leader!

Sun's original plan was to run away from her father as well as running away from Jin, so I can't see her suddenly wishing to emulate her father. Of course a threatened woman bearing an unborn child might be capable of anything.

Well with the mention of a Korean off shore project and Paik industries in the Lost experience it looks like Sun's dad will play a larger role in the coming seasons. Which means Sun will have more exciting things to do then look for lost wedding rings or provide vegetables and herbs for everyone.

I think the lack screen time for Sun and Jin lately is evidence that we'll be seeing much more of them possibly the first part of next season. It seems to be a pattern of the show.
